Question about the rules on a blocked kick
Should we got away from the ball after we blocked it. Seemed like we could have had a Leon lett situation. Good win and flame away

No flame here. Your question is legit.

To the best of my knowledge, any Offensive player can pick up a blocked FG and advance it if the blocked kick doesn't go beyond the line of scrimmage

So the Chiefs defenders did the right thing going after the ball, if it wasn't beyond the line of scrimmage.

Blocked kicks are rare enough that I can never remember exactly how the rules work. When it squirted out of Josh Williams' grip, I was worried that some loser bronco might be able to pick it up and run for a touchdown. I was happy to see Hicks pick it up and put it to bed.

I was wondering about a player that was out of bounds coming back in bounds and being the first to touch the ball. Is that a penalty?

If the blocked kick goes beyond the LOS, the only way the kicking team can recover the ball is if the defense touched it first, other than the initial touching on the block.

If it goes beyond the LOS after the block, players are told to stay away.

That's why the Leon Lett situation was so bad. All he had to do was literally nothing.
