Opposite actually, the players are opting out of the CBA because they want a higher percentage of profits.
I've never watched a second of women's basketball and seriously doubt I ever will but given the success of the KC Current it seems KC would be a good market for it.

WNBA should be thanking their lucky stars that the NBA is so popular. If the WNBA could take advantage of Caitlin Clark and get a good TV deal, then they wouldn't be bankrupt anymore. At this point though I don't see the WNBA taking advantage of her cuz it's ran by a bunch of idiots.

Then why is the kc current successful despite pretty much no media deals? Expectation should never be that it’ll be anywhere close to nba money. But lots of leagues can be plenty profitable pulling smaller but substantial crowds. MLS did it for decades and same seems to be the case with NWSL.
