Later, Chiefsplanet

The Mods around here have finally pissed me off to the point where I can no longer be a member at Chiefsplanet.

I'm happy to have met some nice people over the years who I call friends and will continue to call friends. You all know how to reach me.

To the rest, **** off and die.

Later.

If he had simply disappeared for awhile while letting his friends know what was going on, then there would be nothing to discuss or speculate about. But when a high-profile poster posts an "I'm leaving the Planet forever" thread after he's requested to mods that a troll be banned after the troll called him a bad name, yes, that's going to draw attention and speculation. No?

Look, put aside whether Dane's a good guy or a bad guy, victim or instigator, whether the Planet needs him or not. Just be objective about this: Dane started this with the drama thread. It was unnecessary. Anybody else who melted down in that fashion would be mercilessly mocked.

Dane might have good reasons to be upset and to take a powder. But it's pretty standard around these parts that "I'm leaving forever" threads are bad form.
There's a lot of truthiness in this post.

I'll bet Dane is taking blowjobs if you ask him big guy!

I'm certainly not implying that. Do you really think Dane left because he couldn't stand up to the staggering intellectual firestorm inflicted upon him by R8ers? Would anyone?

Did Dane have a problem with the way this place is run? Yes. And he's not alone. As I mentioned to someone earlier today, this place is a pale shadow of what it once was. Every time we lose a solid, long-term contributor, it seems he or she is replaced by two ****head trolls and half a dozen idiot-ass n00bs who think the trolls are funny. That's not a good thing. This BB used to have the feel of a neighborhood bar. Now it's more like a loud, dirty, overcrowded club in a questionable neighborhood, and the best you can hope to do is find a semi-quiet corner where you hang out with the few people left who are actually worth a shit.

But this still isn't the reason he left.

I heard he was the one that produced the Rebecca Black video and he was hurt by the ridicule in the other thread.

Here we go with this crap again. I've been here for what, 5? 6 years? This place is the same as it's always been for at least that time period.

Maybe all the posters YOU were comfortable with left, that doesn't mean this place has gone down the drain.

What's funny is I pictured your description of CP how it is now....and I instantly thought of Laz and JD(random numbers) as the two friends who sit in the dark corner and drool over the women that are dancing.

Dude.....this place began slowly going down the drain as soon as the ****ing trolls and WPI members started migrating over here. It became one big cluster**** of people who posted about "facts" but refused to back them up.

That wasn't directed at you, Tim. You're one of the folks who actually know the entire story.

I'm talking about the people that are playing dimestore psychologist.

You'd have to be an idiot to think Dane left solely because of the comment in question. Sadly, there are a LOT of idiots here.

j/k You seem like a good dude.

And I'm not saying it could have been stopped. With all the bad, has come some good. There are some solid posters that have become regulars in that time. The problem is, the trash far out numbers them.
