It's going to be interesting to see what the Broncos do in the next 2 years.

Elway is currently 17-15 without Manning. He's got a lot to prove.

No question about it.

Their team's better players were FA, brought in because of Manning.

He did save their ass because they wouldn't have won shit with Brock.

Not to mention he was the reason they were able to lure Ware, Talib, and Ward in one offseason.

Sure, be Brad Johnstond them to a SB. The defense did the heavy lifting though.

And he for sure attracted free agents there. Manning was fun to play and offer d a good chance to win. But Elway brought manning in. It's tough to be that harsh on a guy that took a team to a Sb with a record setting offense then turned around and built an elite d and won one.

Do you think Elway is the best GM in the NFL today without Manning?

I give credit where it's due. Miller proved he was the best edge rusher in the NFL. Wade Phillips proved he was the best DC in the NFL.

I just can't stand all the Elway dick sucking because I flat out don't buy it. He would be average at best if it weren't for Manning and the FA's that came to play with him. The best GM's are great personnel guys that build through the draft. Elway isn't that great. He's about to be 0 for 2 on QBOTF picks and has one notable offensive selection during his entire tenure.

Sure, don't disagree

He's still 1 for 2 in the most important category.

Of course he did, but that doesn't make him a great personnel guy.

Come one man they are both a part of the all-time great QB fraternity. How much skill did that really require?
