What you really have to love is how much he is in some of your heads. Dude owns a few of you.

Good to know that there won't be a "Dorsey like" situation in Denver...

Quote:
As the Elway contract extension talks drag on — and the sides have maintained dialogue recently — the general assumption is there’s discord or tension, but a team source said that’s not the case. Elway, as he’s shown with nearly every major player deal that has gone to the deadline, operates on his own time. Perhaps his own negotiations are no different.

But if there’s one given it’s this: The Hall of Famer will be paid handsomely in a manner that reflects his value to the team on and off the field.

To pad his résumé is his proven talent evaluation. In his six years as an executive, Elway is the only general manager to have found Pro Bowlers in the draft, in street free agency, in unrestricted free agency and in college free agency.

By all means, go ahead and ink El Fraud to the largest GM contract in league history. I'm sure you won't end up regretting it in a few years . . . . .

Sweet! Can't wait to see the Donks extend ElFraud and watch him dig them deeper and deeper into the AFC West cellar.

Six years as an executive and hasn't drafted a ProBowl player in the past five...please sign him.

I think Elway is punk and drafts like shit but managed the cap at least and put a SB defense on the field.

Would have been nice.

Same team without Manning misses the playoffs...just like last season proved.

Take Peyton out of the equation and his reputation/success as a GM would be minimal. He has drafted poorly and his claim to fame was the Talib, Ware, Sanders and Ward FA haul..which Manning facilitated. Without PM, not one of those players is on the roster.

Elway is lucky more than talented as a GM...

Talib and Ward may have ended up there anyway, but no way does Ware or Sanders sign w/o Manning there. They pretty much said as much.
