I had 2 sammies: smoked chicken and thin sliced smoked rump roast, red wine. After removing the Artillery Fungus from my winter beater between rains, I didn't make sides just lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.

looks great. what sauce do you use for the chicken?
I've been using this and and sesame oil and sesame seed for fried rice, chicken, salmon. I like this brand a lot.

It's a homemade sauce. 2lb chicken thighs, diced 3.5T soy sauce 1.5T dark soy sauce 3.5T mirin 2T brown sugar 1t grated ginger 1.5t sesame oil 1T corn starch Marinate the chicken for at least a couple of hours. Then drain the chicken, but reserve the marinade. Griddle the chicken until it's done, then pour the marinade over the top and let it come to a boil for a couple of minutes. Very important to let it come to a boil. If you're squeamish about using the leftover marinade, you can just make the marinade separate for sauce. |
