Hill is an amazing talent, but asking him to be the #1 WR... that may not be the best thing for him and what he can do for that offense. No 100 yard receiving games and only 3 over 60, with a 9.7 Y/R. Lots of dump passes and he did a lot with them at times. But, I think it's a mistake to make him a #1 threat... if you really want to maximize his gifts, I think that's the wrong way to go about it.
The limiting factor that kc fans can't see through the best team on Paper mode they are in is that with reek taking the place of Macklin it is going to be harder to get him touches in the run game.

I guess you can still move him into the backfield then motion him out but when they give him touches in the run game they are taking away touches in the passing game. Ok they will argue fake gronk but D's are going to cover the TE they way they always do and can afford to double him if Hill is in the backfield.

Without a true #1 or even #2 WR out there to protect reek or to throw to when they want to run a fake to reek then go downfield it will be an advantage to most D's.

reek is explosive and will still abuse people with his speed but D's are going to be able to key on what he does if he lines up as an RB especially without a deep threat wide to defend.

Either way with alex the O is going to be built around guys getting separation in space behind, at, or near the LOS. Andy likes to get blockers in front of receivers at the LOS and go for the YAC but that hasn't been a playoff winning strategy, at some point they need to attack downfield, looking like that is a year or 2 off yet.

I'd be willing to bet most Chiefs fans would not trade Hill for Cooper.

Excluding the ones that would just do it bc of Hill's history.

A lot of the other people would probably be morons like you that haven't actually watched Hill, so no telling what they would do.

lol Kelce was dominating every game the 2nd half of the season and teams were doubling him all the time.

Including the two games he dominated Denvers defense

It's like talking politics with you... why are you so pissy? You act as if I said he was a spare one-trick pony. The dude is dynamic, I've said that and it's what makes him so valuable and special, IMO. If the goal is to make him a true #1 WR then they're going to begin to take away his ability to make big plays. But, again, I guess I'm just ignorant in the ways of football.

He got lucky on what one bubble screen behind the LOS? Big deal. DT won us playoff game doing the same thing. Broncos missed Ward and Ware big time that game.

I do remember him making some big drops late in the season and the playOFF, as in singular playoff game.

Owen Daniels made a couple big plays in the Playoffs and SB, he was money when he was needed. You didn't see Daniels throwing his helmet at refs after dropping a big time 3rd down.

Von Miller really hopes KC stops lining Hill up in the backfield. He's been embarrassed by him at least twice by my count. We didn't even need to block him and Hill ran right around him!

Dude, Hill WAS the go to receiver...
Even with Maclin on the field.

You could actually see Maclin showing his displeasure when Hill was, time and time again, THE GUY.

It started about week 8.

From that point on it was Kelce then Hill in the passing game..
Same as it will be this year..

Barring injury Hill is the most dangerous player in the NFL...

I know you would like to think otherwise, but just watch him. The guy pops off the screen..He's on another level..

I am glad for you guys that kc finally hit on a gadget player, he still needs to work on his routes but his speed and quickness are impressive.

The one thing I have noticed is that once teams get a read on his speed he seems to disappear in games but part of that could have been Andy not giving him a ton of snaps.

I know NE has Eddelmann return punts but you can't ask one guy to take handoffs, return kicks, be the #1 WR and then still block and do the other things players are counted on to do during each play. Here and there sure. The other thing with speed players is they tire, maybe he is like TD and can run all day, we will find it out. The dude is going to abuse people and get his yards, the question is can he do it consistently as the #1 guy. I think he has a good shot. Broncos can't have all the great players, just most of them.

Maybe it's hard for me to judge Amari Cooper because I've only seen him when Chiefs cornerbacks like Terrance Mitchell have been shutting him down. Maybe he looks better when he's playing against average cornerbacks.

Ha..teams weren't doubling Maclin last season. He also missed 4 games and was essentially invisible last year. To turn your post around...Maclin should have had a great season with Hill emerging.

Truth is, Hill surprised everyone on KC's coaching staff (including Reid) with his receiving skills and Maclin under-performed.

Tyreek is going to be a superstar...and I've only said that about one other Chief. It's one thing to be the fastest player in the NFL...is another when you have that speed and are a big game player.

The fact he mentioned S. SMith...who was one of my favorite players, say a lot. That guy is a bad-ass....

Dude is a phenomenal talent, again I never said otherwise and wasn't saying Maclin was double covered. I think he was able to take advantage of the focus the defenses put on other guys, like Maclin. I question whether or not he has players around him to take the focus away. I just think it's a lot to ask of a second year guy that seems better suited for how he was used last year. #timetomoveon

Not sure why the Maclin release is sucha big deal. The move gives us room to build around Mahomes next offseason. There should be some solid receivers available.

Kelce and Hill will be plenty to throw to this year.
