*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Sounds like it's going to be a weekly thing.

I'm wondering if he watched any Mahomes tape from when he played at Tech. PM rolled right, rolled left, threw the ball all over the place.
Of course his natural tendency is to go right. The kid is right handed.
Brilliant observation,

*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

I don’t know if there is an official stat for “who cares” or “literally not a problem” INTs where it’s third and long and you are facing a punt regardless and you throw it towards the end zone, but I am guessing about half of Mahomes’ INTs will be of that variety. It will go towards his INT total and people will scream too many interceptions but they won’t actually matter. And in fact that aggressiveness will probably lead to points we never would had had in the past, just the end of the first half against the Falcons.

Also, Smith was throwing to wide open receivers constantly. So wide open even Smith was comfortable throwing to them downfield. Those plays aren’t going anywhere. The offense will not force Mahomes to make some crazy amount of tight window throws or having to make difficult decisions that will result in 20 INTs that actually impact the game.

Mr tegu does bring up a good point. He’s probably gonna need to make 4 or so tight ass throws per game. The others andy will have dudes running open

Getting tds off turnover is the deciding factor. We gave Smith the ball 50 times more and most of the time it didn't matter. We got nothing out of it.

I want Mahomes to come out playing to his strengths. That will expose some of his weaknesses, as it should, but that's OK. It's his first year starting in the NFL.

You mofo's need to relax and just be relieved that our game manager days at QB are over.

If you miss the 3rd and 9 check down to the RB you should consider being a Redskins fan

I won't listen to KK's garbage. He can move to DC and continue to suck off Alex Smith.

We didn't turn the ball over very much for years.... what did that get you.

What the people in this thread FAIL to realize is that even if we do turn it over now... we can strike back fast. Before we would be totally ****ed down two scores

It seems like Mahomes and Watkins cant get on the same page..

3 of his worst passes of game 2 were thrown to Watkins..The pick, the almost pick in the end zone and then he under threw Watkins on a short pass...

he seems comfortable with Kelce, Hunt, and Hill but I havent seen one play with him and Watkins that showed they have any chemistry
