Frankly I don't care for it. I've never gotten that 'no-knead' effect he claims. Maybe I'm just not doing it right. Forno Bravo's dough recipe and Kenji's NY Style Dough recipe are my go-tos at this point. http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2...yle-pizza.html https://www.fornobravo.com/forno-bra...e/pizza-dough/ It's hard to get any simpler than the forno bravo version, especially if you have a stand mixer.

But for whatever reason, I still had to fight the thing like mad to get it to fill up the pan.

Doing pork tonight with a mushroom gravy. Working on the mushroom soup for the sauce now. None of that canned condensed crap for me.

I just made this soup. Completely pulled it out of my ass, and it's pretty damn good! Half an onion, half a pound of sliced mushrooms, quarter cup of butter. Sauté. Added a tablespoon of porcini powder and 3 tablespoons of flour, sautéed for a couple minutes. 2 cups homemade stock, bring to a boil and let thicken. Off heat, finish with half a cup of cream and fresh thyme. Blasted with the immersion blender and it's done.
I kind of wanted for lunch, but then there wouldn't be enough for the pork. |

We had some bbq and smoked chicken catered to us at work the other day. The Q was ok, but the chicken was exceptionally tender. Really good stuff. I've been talking about having it for dinner for the last three days, so I got some takeout tonight. It sucked. Rubbery, over priced garbage. Just gave it to the dogs and ate a peanut butter sandwich.

Fried chicken and biscuits from Cracker Barrel. The chicken is good. The biscuits are just ok.
