Pittbulls kill 2 year old and 5 month old

"Both (dogs) started attacking her while she lay on Lilly."The two children were pronounced dead when officials arrived at the home, the sheriff's office reported.

It was not immediately known what provoked the mauling.The mauling, Gibson said, lasted about 10 minutes.The dogs – two pit bulls that belonged to the family – were euthanized at Memphis Animal Services Thursday.

The family owned the pets, Cheech and Mia, for more than eight years without a violent incident, Kelsey Canfield, the mother's best friend, told Fox News.

"I can promise you those children were her world, and if there was any inkling of danger, she would have never had those dogs near her kids," Canfield told the outlet. "Those children were everything to them, and they just have a really long journey ahead."

How do you feel about PittBull's? I posted this because my wife shared this story with me and my son was just recently participating in a "read to sheltered dogs" event where you could adopt a dog (I know brilliant).

I've heard the arguments that PittBull's get a bad wrap, but it seems time and time again they are the focal point of dogs who do these horrible acts.

Although he was just asking for the second attack. Keeping that dog alive after the first attack is the height of stupidity. Alive and in the same house as his wife and kids.

Bachelor star almost killed by his own family dog after two brutal attacks in 12 hours

The Bachelor universe star Sean Lowe has revealed he was almost killed by his own dog after he was brutally attacked twice within 12 hours.

The 41-year-old reality star — who married Catherine Giudici after proposing to her on season 17 of The Bachelor — revealed Monday in a somber but chilling video that his dog Moose had 'ripped' his arm open, leaving him feeling as if he was 'fighting for [his] life.'

'I feel like if this dog gets up, he’s going to kill me,' he said of the seven-year-old Boxer, which his family had only had for three months after adopting him from a shelter.

He noted that he could barely keep the Moose off himself, despite weighing 220 pounds, so he feared that the animal could have killed his wife or children if it had mauled them instead.

In the video, Lowe showed off a gnarly set of stitches and bloody bites marks on his arms from the repeated attacks.

'Our family has been through something pretty traumatic over the weekend,' Sean said in the video, before noting that he had debated whether to even share his experience. His wife Catherine sat next to him throughout, but she was mostly silent while tears streamed down her face........

We have an American Stafordshire, somtimes mistaken for a Pit Bull. She looks similar, but is smaller in stature. She is a well muscled dog and weighs about 65 pounds. We rescued her and when I saw her asked my wife, "You got a Pitt Bull? Really?" But then I did research.

"Sometimes nicknamed the ‘nanny dog’, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is one of the Kennel Club’s top recommended breeds for families with young children. ‘Staffs are great family dogs,’ says Ali. ‘Many breeds tend to bond with one individual, but Staffs bond with the entire family. They love everyone equally, with equal enthusiasm!’'

The black and white one is our Staffy.

So this dog mauled him so badly that he's now disabled and had to quit his job, lost the use of his right hand, and his response is "I don't blame her, she just had a bad day."

It's hard to feel sorry for some of these reeruned dog owners...
