Colon Coward said something interesting in his show a few weeks back. If you have an elite QB, hire an offensive coordinator as their coach. Otherwise you would have the Bills' scenario with Daboll leaving for the Giants. I said the same thing when the idiot Spanos hired Staley. Herbert will go thru several OC changes during his career.
With Bienemy being the topic here, it's clear to all of us who follow the team that the guy just doesn't have it. He makes for a solid assistant coach but running a complex offense is not something he is fit for. You notice it during a press conference the way he speaks in such simple terms. Like a motivational coach of sorts. And it's precisely for this very reason he hasn't landed a HC job with any team he has interviewed. I like EB as a person. Just not as the OC scheming a complex offense of a perennial SB contender with arguably the greatest talent at QB in NFL history. It's like the equivalent of having Mike Fratello be Michael Jordan's coach with the Bulls. Some guys are not cut up for that type of gig.

And I don't know the validity of any of this. All I heard personally is that "there was an argument in the locker room at halftime about the timeout". Were tempers flared for other reasons and the timeout was just the strawman? Was it Reid and Beinemy? Was it EB and PMII? was it all 3? Were there orders to stand down and PMII (and others) talked about going rogue and the argument was about that? I don't know. I don't know the definitive answers to any of those questions, as I wasn't in the locker room and I haven't spoke with Patrick, Andy, or EB. I would assume someone would have more proof than just "sources" before going to print/publish/post an article that appears to be news-based. That being said...bring back Nagy, hire a new QB coach (or move Joe's Files to QB coach and hire a new WR coach....TODD HALEY just kidding, I wouldn't do that to gblowfish.) Hey, billay. I honestly don't 100% know what to think about it. I don't necessarily believe it out of hand...but I don't simply dismiss the idea of a rift. The offense is stale. It needs more traditional pro WCO concepts and less of this college all-go, verticals and RPO/spread bullshit. This line is built to block for runs and screens. Patrick needs to develop his short-to-intermediate game. I can't really think of any real reason Beinemy should stay. And that is completely outside of this article. My $.02.

I have no idea if any of that stuff is true, how would I.....but I've never seen anything like the second half meltdown, with Mahomes sitting by himself on the bench. My gut tells me that something happened during halftime. Not surprised that a more reliable source is giving credence to much of the innuendo.

I don't really care about any of this... in the end, Mahomes will get who he wants.

Absolutely! Well.....maybe. Is it actually good? Had one across the street from my high school in Texas. We had off campus lunch. Back in my pot smoking days, Grandy's for lunch was reeeeeeeeeeeal good. Haven't smoked pot since those days (almost 30 years gone by), and conversely, haven't eaten at Grandy's since then. You think I would like it still?

Are we going to take a vote to move this one to the Romper Room, too?

I'd be super interested in hearing KK's takes on all of this, or I could just shave my head with a cheese grater and get the same affect.

That's what makes me wonder about all of this stuff. Why would you let the most obvious OC (to me) on your coaching staff leave if there was any doubt about EB?
