What went wrong against the Broncos?

From 27-0, to.... that.

In a few weeks, nobody is really going to care what the game looked like, only that we got the W.

But for tonight, and for the next few days, I want to know what changed between 27-0 and the end.

You do realize they shut the Donks down so that the team was winning 27-0 AND GOT MAHOMES THE BALL BACK, then all the sudden had to defend two 50 yard fields due to back to back turnovers in less than 2 minutes of game time, then had to go right back on the field at the half, right?

That's what is called "hanging your defense out to dry."

Goddamn.

It was actually 3, and the Broncos have a fantastic defense.

I knew this game wouldn't be as easy as some here thought it should have been...

But once you go up 27-0, leave it to Andy Reid to go Full ReeidRun and not run the ball.

I get it, keep attacking. But FFS, Patrick shouldn't have been slinging the ball against those spy/fire zones in the first place, but when they starting mixing in the LeBeau "Blitzburgh" zone blitzes that were making our Oline look STUPID, Reid should've clicked in and told Nagy and Bieniemy to start running the ****ing ball.

Ridiculous that they let it get that close AND THEN waited until the 4th to close the game out with the run.

Worst Offense in the last 20 years...and they gave up 3 straight TD drives. The third being a complete shit show. They should have held them to FG's on at least two of those drives.

Then the defense has the in 2nd and ****ing 24 and they promptly gave up 25 yards, and could not get a 4th down stop to save their life to let the back in the game again after we went into the 4th qtr with a 2 score lead.

The defense shit the bed much, much, worse today than the offense. Mahomes made a few mistakes against the second best defense in football. The defense shit the bed against the worst offense of the past 20 years and gave up 28 ****ing points.

A win is a win, but the defense is what is going to hold this team back from a Super Bowl, just like in 2018, if they don't get their shit together.

You don’t make THE franchise, future HOF walk home. Good grief, Pete.

I’m not going to get into all of the specific issues that can certainly be addressed, it’s already being done. What I will say is that we were up against a division rival, which should never be considered a gimme game any way - and one that we had beaten 13 straight times. With that current 1 on 1 record, a shitty season for them already and a division rivalry at play, one has to account for the wounded and cornered animal aspect. I am not at all surprised by today’s game. I’m not overly enamored with it but, I’m not sitting here wondering WTF went wrong either - especially since we won!

Today was just the game for Mahomes to look a little more like Brett Favre, not a huge deal. It's not the worst thing to go from Mahomes level to Favre level because Favre was pretty good overall in his prime. Mahomes still made huge plays but had a few Favre moments.

You sure do get worked up for a guy trying to convince this board that everything is rigged.

Why do you have any emotion at all toward how this played out?

Are you angry with the writers?

Nah, we just find it odd you enjoy shitting on Patrick Mahomes, the best player this organization has ever seen, at every opportunity.

How about the no look to McKinnon, or the highlight reel td to Juju? Is that part of a shit game?

He really should have to walk home right. Really ****ed the team over.

Then again, you're the dipshit that thought he was a flash in the pan gimmick, so nobody should really even consider shit you post.

I think there's a chance we're overreacting a little. Including myself. I was pretty concerned about how KC played on both sides of the ball after they went up 27-0. it seemed like a collapse. And maybe it was.

But when you look at the boxscore and the team stats, both the offense and the defense played pretty well, statistically speaking. I mean, if I told you before the game, that the Chiefs' defense would force 7 punts out of 13 drives, get 6 sacks, 2 INTs, one pick-6, and only allow DEN to convert 3rd down 6 out of 17 times, what would you think?

Anyway, here's the boxscore, see for yourself:

They're words on a screen, Bro Namath. I don't know why you assume that I'm "worked up", but between my pre-bed Xanax and all the weed I've smoked, I'll lay dollars to donuts that I'm pretty baseline, about to wrap it up for the night, since the Dolphins aren't showing up...

It's called suspension of disbelief and collective effervescence.

What you have is called cognitive dissonance.

I'd tell you to look those words up...but you're obviously too stupid to know what they mean. Them words is for folks wit' the capacity for abstract thought...
