Doesn't fit the 5 years of winning records. Try again.

The second half of Smith's ~10 year career has been very good

Gee, it's almost like neither of those guys had the benefit of a top 10 caliber defense for more than one season.

Who gives a shit?

Has Smith been an effective and accurate passer since 2011?

Has he won more games than he's lost?

Do you think that the 49ers regret trading him?

49ers fans are always commenting on Kaep news articles that trading him away led to the locker room instability and their eventual downfall. It was his replacing with kaepernick that broke all trust with the coach and management.

Trent Dilfer is constantly trotted out as the example that you don't need a good QB to win a SB (though he'll take a backseat to the 2015 husk of Manning that just earned a ring) because of great defensive play. Well.. what happens when a guy like Dilfer doesn't have the benefit of a great defense?

Same goes for Tebow, though that's an obvious strawman considering he isn't really a QB, so I'll give you that one.

Effective and accurate at not taking risks since 2011. No argument there.

Has Smith won more games than he's lost or has the team won more games than they have lost? I don't even know any more because of the amount of goalpost shifting 49er carpetbaggers throw out here.

But by stark defensive statistics that you can choose to look up on PFR, as for FO's DVOA efficiency measures, Smith has had the benefit of playing in tandem with the 3rd, 3rd, 9th, 19th, and 6th best defenses from 2011 to 2015 respectively. I'm going to credit these performances as to why the 49ers and Chiefs have won 8+ games in those seasons because I've been told that San Francisco had terrible offensive lines and skill position play outside of running backs and the Chiefs have been mediocre at best along the offensive line and at receiver.

They should regret chasing off Harbaugh and therefore Roman's departure, seeing as Kaepernick went to complete shit after both weren't coaching him and the subsequent arrival of competent QB play from Tyrod freaking Taylor.

I live a few hours North of Sac. The vast majority of people up here are either 9er or Raider fans. The 9er fans were really happy when Kap took over. They thought he was the next big thing, a playmaker that would put them over the hump with a strong D and running game. Their thinking was that Harbaugh had built a very strong conventional team and he was sort of the Wild Card that could play off of that. Now that the team is playing like shit they'd rather have someone like Smith to get back to basic fundamental football. But that is 20/20 hindsight and they were mostly in favor of the switch at the time. I think if they still had the team/coaches that Harbaugh gave them they'd still want Kap.

Right now when ever you hear a niner fan complain it's almost always about Baalke or York all there problems to them lead back to those 2.

Yea I'm sure they are really cool with the fact that they are on the brink of not having either of the two. Real cool.

You have the worst takes on football. Did Clay pay you to allow him to post on this account?
