*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

IMHO, Houston came off with the better QB at this time. Watson is closer to being an NFL QB than Mahomes is.
Time will tell.

Meh. So did Danny Wuerffel and Tim Tebow. Mahoms' skills translate better to the NFL, imo.

No way. Mahomes is incredibly talented but he's also very raw. Even if Smith threw a fit, he's playing until Mahomes is ready.

Only concerns I have are his win/loss record as a starting QB and the historical struggles QB's have had in the NFL coming from the Air Raid offense in college.

With that said, it is great to see the Chiefs draft a QB who is a 180 degree shift from Bubble Screen Alex Smith.

Gunslinger?

Air it out downfield early and often?

YES please.

Whatever you fence sitting pussy. Clearly the Chiefs' brass agreed with the vast majority of fans here about the QB position, while you INSISTED it wasn't the issue holding this team back.

Is it too much to hope for a Russell Wilson-esque wresting of the starting job prior to the start of the season?
