The other thread is a dumpster fire. I'm sure this will become one as well, but might as well start with a clean slate. I'll at least try to keep the OP updated with any notable news. Feel free to PM me if I miss anything good.

That's what you got from that? Even Mecca who's the only person arguing your side other than you knew how stupid this particular argument you're trying to make is.

Fans aren't stupid. Buggs/Wanya/Godrick are no name players that aren't impacting wins/losses if they are suspended/cut. They know Rice is good. They know losing Rice hurts the Chiefs.

If it were Chris Jones instead of Buggs, there would 100% be national outrage and calls for cutting, suspension, etc.

This video is objectively worse than Rice's. It's quite easy to see that they ****ed this dude up bad, and there's no denying it. GMAFB with the excuses.

Fans are very stupid, for one thing.

To suggest that the Chiefs have enough haters to make this story matter out of pure spite is absurd. There has to be some factor involved that elicits an emotional response from the average American. In this case, we’ve got “entitled millionaire athlete endangers lives of soccer mom and young kids on their daily commute then callously flees scene - ON VIDEO.”

The Butker situation is another perfect example of this.

The average American has no idea the importance of anyone on our roster outside of Mahomes and Kelce.

That’s not true.

It is true that the common CPer, 45 year old white dudes, did confuse two dreadheaded black guys, but once actual black people got involved, it became apparent which one Rice was.

The avergae American didn't give two ****s about the Rice story to bring with dumb ****.

The only people who cared are NFL fans, and NFL/sports media. Do yous seriously think this was some national story that non-football fans were discussing at the dinner table or something?

Twitter is the perfect place to express outrage, and the outrage was clearly from non-Chief NFL fans, not Susan the librarian who doesn't even ****ing watch football

You’re the one who was crying about all the outrage so I wasn’t sure. To quote you, you were kind of acting like it.

This story is like 3 months old now. I doubt many fans outside of KC are discussing this anymore.

Yes, the outrage from NFL fans across the country, not the average American who doesn't even care about the NFL. Why the **** would that person hate the Chiefs anyways?

You're so reeruned.

You aren't even making ****ing sense.

I've clearly been talking about NFL fans this entire time. You are the one who brought up the average American who doesn't know any Chiefs outside of Mahomes and Kelce.

Those people weren't the ones outraged over the Rice incident, because if you don't give a shit about the NFL, then that story meant basically nothing to you. Nobody cares about a car wreck with minors injuries, even if it's on video. This was a story because it was the Chiefs and a prominent player, which would lead to some sort of punishment from the NFL/Chiefs.
