Agreed. Though he was effective during the game, on his big pass play, the defender did fall down. That's not going to happen every game.

Me. But they’d just have to sign me.

I’m not currently on any roster.

Nick is smoking crack.
Dead money doesn’t go to the team trading for the player. That’s $ that’s already been paid to the player that hasn’t been accounted for on their cap due to structure, bonuses, restructures, etc.

KC would only be on the hook for amounts not yet paid in the contract, and those are extremely affordable.

Usually, I’d agree with you…but we have a real chance at history here and I think that deserves a “big swing” in Veaches words.

Reasonable speculation here:https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/...mpact-round-1/

Adams = Jets
Hopkins = Chiefs
Cooper = Cowboys

All 3 go where they've prev been linked.

I'd be happy with anyone at this point, just curious to see what happens.

I agree. He has chemistry with M. Brown when he comes back from injury, which is more than can be said for Cooper.

"His base salary is $8.27 million, which equates to game checks of around $459,500 weekly. If Kansas City was to deal for Hopkins now, with 13 weeks remaining in the regular season, the Chiefs would be looking at a bill of just under $6 million."

We would need to clear about $2m in cap cap space, Pat would do that in a heartbeat.

Our 3rd + S. Moore = Hopkins?

If Hopkins is the target I could see Veach waiting till the deadline instead of doing a restructure. Cooper can be had now, cap wise.

I don't care if Tyreek is a basket case. He is also one of the top five WR of all time.

My thought is if "Mahomes makes the receiver" is the consensus, (ie Juju) then do we really need a "star"? Let Veach screen calls and see what the best options are for the team. I do not think Reek is necessary. Cooper, Hopkins or anything we might deem lesser options could still be a win win for our team. Whoever comes in is on borrowed time anyways. The likelihood of Pacheco and Hollywood Brown coming back this season during the playoffs offsets paying top dollar for a "stud". We all have faith in Veach and I am sure that if/when he makes a move will definitely be in the best interest for the team. Fingers crossed!

Ummmm no. He’s easily a top 5 current WR, but top 5 all time? Nope.

I’m not sure how accurate this is, but I thought Adam’s was a 2nd+, Cooper was a 3rd, and Hopkins was a 5th trade wise. Obviously that’s probably the order I’d want them as well, but in terms of trade value and mostly just needing one for the rest of the year just give me Hopkins. Would love Cooper, Adam’s just isn’t going to happen and Hill could even be less likely.. and if they want anything like they gave us we absolutely shouldn’t either.
