The Chiefs are simply in a terrible position to get a quality LT.

I don't give a **** about Humphries at this point. I think people are just bringing up because they can't think of anything else.
Options are extremely limited, unless you're up for giving Stanley or Robinson a **** ton of money..so if you don't wanna do that you need some kind of cheap vet so you don't have a competition of nothing but young guys.

Guarantee Andy isn’t messing with any more rookie LTs

Kingsley was the first rookie LT he started, and he was a disaster

Yeah, after it was made glaringly obvious just how ****ing raw Suamataia was going to be his rookie season, and I honestly do not understand how Reid let that one through the cracks.

You don’t think Baltimore will resign him?

He's 30..they also have a lot of money wrapped up and still to pay. They could though..

Oh god, we're gonna sign Jedrick Wills, former top 10 pick, flamed out etc that's right in the Veach wheelhouse.

I'm guessing he was just the king of shit mountain. The "least bad" of all the bad options coming out of camp.

That sounds like a possibility as well, but I had no clue Ronnie Stanley was a free agent. That's intriguing, if Baltimore doesn't resign him that sure seems very tempting.

Yes. Precisely. Which is why folks thought it might be a good idea to backstop that shit with a LT that Mahomes at least had some experience with, even if he was only a backstop and was more or less broken down. That's a pivot, not a plan you go into the office season with.

But he might actually be worth it, unlike Robinson. Considering how hard they went after Trent Williams when he was available, I think they might be all over this. I can't see Baltimore letting him walk, though. Although, he is 30 and they may be hesitant to pay him with his recent injury history, even though he was healthy all this season.

Good to know there is at least an elite option out there if they want to go balls deep.

But who? Donovan Smith is broken down. He's done. Who else was out there that would have been a possible backup? They're just in a shit position all the way around at LT.

We are squarely in the, either pay top end of the market rate for a FA, make an insane trade or pray we get lucky, LT spot.

And getting lucky is hoping you hit in the draft or turning some other teams flub into a hit.

But the sad thing is if you go look at the % rate on 2nd and 3rd round OT's the what the Chiefs have gotten drafting there is pretty normal.
