Reid is obvious first ballot HOF coach.

Mahomes (barring him suddenly retiring after this season) and Kelce will be automatics when it’s all said and done for them.

Hill is making quite the resume for himself and needs another 3-4 years of top level play. He’ll also have to overcome the bias. A lot of voters won’t want to vote for him for ‘reasons’.

Jones has a chance if he continues the elite level play for several more years and gets a couple more rings here.

HB has been 1st Team All Pro 3 times now. And was the primary guy responsible for the huge D turnaround between 18 and 19. But I feel like he may need a DPOY (like Polamalu, for example) and at least another ring to knock on the HOF door.

I agree with all of this. I want to put HB in, but it’s just so damn hard to make it. He was an All Decade player so that helps for sure.

We also don’t know about guys like Humphrey, Trey Smith, Sneed, Gay, Bolton, etc. I wouldn’t be shocked if we had a very young HOFer on our team right now. We just don’t know it yet.

I remember reading awhile back that there are roughly 50 active HOFers at any time in the NFL. This would include guys like Brady down to first year players who eventually make it.

Pretty crazy to think that we almost certainly have at least 3.

The OL is promising, but could take several weeks to gel. We will do well if the transition from 2020 Fisher to 2021 Brown is break even or better. I wouldn’t project anything from preseason and having no idea how injuries will play out. We are starting 3 promising players that have never taken an NFL snap.

All this talk of Cleveland's revamped defense is largely overblown. You're really pinning hopes to John Johnson and a rookie CB making you light-years better? Granted, I like Newsome, but he's still a rookie. Anthony Walker vs how Goodson played last year is largely a push at MLB. You have the same LBs otherwise, at least until JOK moves from 2nd string. The defense in Cleveland has a shot at being better in the back end by the 2nd half of the season but not right out of the gate. I think you're more likely to see an overall regression defensively for a bit and that D-line could have significant issues generating pressure.

I, honestly, don't see this game being that close unless the Chiefs' defense has coverage breakdowns and lets Mayfield hang a couple of big plays on them. The only player that scares me in that regard is Peoples-Jones. Even then, I'm not overly concerned.

I don't expect it over by halftime, but I do expect it over by the end of the third.
38-17 Chiefs.
Myles won’t be over coming Covid. Clowney is an upgrade over Porter Gustin, and you don’t think that adding JJ3 over Sendejo, and Troy Hill (last years #1 rated slot corner, from the number 1 defense ) aren’t huge steps up from Sendejo and Kevin Johnson? It is perfectly fine to believe the Chiefs are better, and will win, but you’re seriously kidding yourself if you don’t think the Browns defense isn’t 30 times better than it was in the playoffs.

One thing HB has going for him, if he never has a DPOY season (which I personally don't think he needs a performance quite that dominating, I think chalking up a few more all pro seasons and a ring is plenty of a body of work), how highly the rest of the league, both players and personnel and media, speak of him. He won't have any problem getting the votes when the time comes. They recognize his grit and determination, leadership, and athletic ability.

30 times...sounds reasonable.

Browns allowed 26 ppg game last season...so this year it's .8 PPG.

That's quite an improvement...only 13 points allowed all year.
