Yeah Denver HAD to use Vaseline...just like Bowlen HAD to cheat to make sure Elway didn't retire a failed champion. With that line of logic...its no wonder Denver fans still think they were the best team in the late 90's. Truth is too painful..acknowledging that those titles were a sham. These two instances arent separate..it showed a repeating propensity for cheating. They greased jerseys...then were later found to have cheated the cap. Scumbags...

Agree that was some serious Bullshit... But that game didn't hurt as bad as the 1995 Indy game... That's the game I was educated on "because Marty". Even thought the 97s great team could never achieve greatness "because Marty" I was still pissed about that Denver game... But Elvis throwing the ball out of the back of the endzone on 4th and game really summed up the Franchise as a whole in my eyes... Take the easy way out and avoid risk regardless of the outcome. Elvis did that on 4th and goal. And we have been running that way for decades... I don't blame the NFL as much as I blame the culture around the franchise...
