The 10pm thread (archived)

The big anti-hijack thread.....
Talk about anything, but if this works than we don't have to keep looking around all the threads to see who is still on tonight, and every night, or even every day! Talk about the chiefs, talk about tomorrow, talk about football, politics or even how to do flooring and the applicable budget. What you're drinking, how hard it is to sleep, etc. Every thing is acceptable in this thread.....

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldcloc...om.html?sort=2 see for yourself, it is ten o'clock somewhere.

Appreciate your comments. Rush very good band.

The old wheel chair Stones dudes to the most younger generation That didn't grow up with them or ever see them live...Got it done for 40+ years. The cross generation appeal is hard to expain at the show.

Let me know when another band out last/played them. Music History will be the ultimate judge......

LZ great band seem them in Chicago and Page/Plant in STL....
But not a candle to the intensity level of a Stones show.
You have to experience it to understand.

Pink Floyd great show.... very Psychedelic....overall intensity not there or same as a Stones show....

Closet thing I've seen. Black Crowes ++very good.
Small FOX theatre in STL. Loud/intense.....not quite the same but close, without the cross generation appeal.

Eric Clapton twice. 85 very good with Ry Cooder at Keil in STL /97 Orchestra show at Scot Trade Center. Never with Cream damn it.
That would have rivaled it I'm sure.

I loved seeing the Black Crowes when they opened for Tom Petty. They're a good opener, but not a good headliner. I love the live CD they did with Jimmy Page.

Yep at Floyd they relied on effects and younger musicians to play their songs-they should have retired years ago.

Funny how I never liked the Stones-but they just grow on you. I would definately go see them!

People need to give them their props-they still take it on the road for every CD-a lot of bands don't even put out music anymore but cash in.

Someone posted an Eagles pic-they were all sitting in chairs-how boring-they would put me to sleep. Kinda like the last Leonard Skinard-(sp) show-they came out and sat down in chairs and went acoustic-took the crowd out of it-then a 40 minute Freebird song-next to Bon Jovi-worst show ever.

Cool- I am so jealous about all the skiing btw-I havnt gone in years. Used to go every year. Been to every resort in Colorado-but always wanted to ski Wyoming. I traveled from one end of the other there-but it was in the summer. Still awesome though!
