He is surely worth more than 7. I'd say minimum 10 million, max 14. Houston is dumb and is paying for Osweilers potential, basically hoping they cash in on a lottery ticket.

I've watched quite alot of Ryan Fitzpatrick over the years. First off, Alex Smith >> Fitzpatrick. He will have some good moments, but he's very streaky, and not at all consistent.

That said, he's still a starting quality QB in the NFL (if not one you'd be very happy to have) and so he is worth more than the lowball number the Jets are offering.

Be great if the JEts lost him and had to go back to Geno Smith.

Crazy that Fitzpatrick is probably the best FA QB this year. I agree with most here, hes about average, sometimes above average.

If nothing else becomes available the Broncos should grab him. I hope they roll with Sanchez. LOL As crazy as this sounds I think Fitz would be an decent upgrade over the QB play they had last year. Hes probably good for on average 21- 24 points a game, and with that defense that would result in lot of wins.

His career stats are almost the same as Alex's with the addition of 3.3 interceptions more per season.

Fitz blows but is better than any option facing Denver or the Jets. Geno and Marky Baywatch as starters would cause 100 Swet Daddy multi to be born.

Just because one NFL team pays for a lack of talent doesn't mean it should happen across the board. Fitzpatrick sucks. Plain and simple. He's not worth anything close to what he wants.
