Due to recent events, just thought I'd pose the question.

While I don't think posters should think mods will do something just because they want them to, I do think there are a few things that should be considered out of bounds that aren't. On the other hand, I've learned to just go with the flow. Do I comment back knowing that I will sound like a whiny bitch sometimes? Sure. It's entertaining. Also, people need some drama. I'd rather have mine on a BB than IRL.

What say ye?

I think we used to do a form of an election for mods. But the key is "coverage". Find night crew, day crew, and evening crew people. Don't pick anybody who is going to power trip and if they do, fire them immediately.

Take some nominations, make sure that the nominees are okay with it and then run a poll.

One is me. I just think there needs to be more coverage. Most of what we do here is what we've always done here. But we can't always be "waiting for DaFace to show up" for problem resolution. We need to be more proactive than that.

Obviously you aren't a cry baby. Do you mean there needs to be tighter restrictions on free speech here or do you mean there needs to be more mods so the current policy can be regularly enforced regardless of the hour or day?
FWIW IMHO the mods here could not do a better job of moderating enough to maintain a society while still facilitating an open environment that follows the ideals upon which Kyle originally founded this place.

Well yeah, it's not like we want to kill people off, just leave an old school mark, if circumstances call for it.
