You were actually there three times that I remember, first time for the new 50" Plasma game in 2005 and another one when you brought your Mustang over then in 2008 you came to drive my Challenger. Quote:

I might end up having to carry eventually though, lots of information as I had hoped in this thread. |

I don't ****ing know the guy has the gun that is concealed, thus I don't give a flying **** about his condition. Make any sense yet? If you go back to back through this thread, multiple posts have indicated idiots flashing their open carry guns and flaunting it because they have a small dick. In my OP, the guy that came into the barber shop to "shoot the shit" with the barber was openly parading the gun around to make sure we all saw it. It was very pretty, had an ivory handle with the American flag symbol on it. I am very proud of my gun collection, but I am not going to go parading in town to show it off. |

You have no argument. The person that is concealed carrying is just as dangerous. The only difference is oh my god I see a gun. So scary. If a person is carrying a gun and it never leaves the holster. Why the **** do you care? |

Open carry is the pit bull owner of the 2nd amendment. Don’t forget the wife beater uniform.
It’s your right but I’m judging. That said, open carry nerds aren’t the people to worry about….its people carrying guns without a holster that are your concern. |

Most people don't carry for planned active shooters. The chances of that happening is astronomical. Plus I would rather not try to take some one on with say an AR only armed with a pistol. Like I said before. Theoretically could it make you a target. Yeah if the person cases the joint right before the attack and noted you carrying. Then decided to follow through with their plan. But statistically does open carrying make you a target for criminals. I would say no. It is way more of a deterrence. Last edited by Nirvana58; 06-01-2024 at 05:07 PM.. |

I mean, yeah, if it’s warning you when you’re walking on the sidewalk then they need to recalibrate, but I understand wanting something like that on your property for the exact scenario shown in the clip you linked. |

I rarely every carry a gun... normally only if I can throw it in my backpack when I'm fishing or leave it in my glove box say if I plan on being somewhere sketchy all night long and not drinking.
I have a pretty sharp pocket knife that I keep on me almost 24/7 though and I figure that's good enough to ward away any attacker not carrying a gun. I really do need to get a more comfortable holster for my carry piece. That's the main reason I don't, I find it bulky, uncomfortable and inconvenient. |

On another note Id recommend keeping a gun anywhere but a glove box. If you are ever approached by LEO, a gun in the glove box is a disaster waiting to happen. Too easy a chance for miscommunication lol
