Let's Talk About the Eagles
Looks like we catch a break not having to face Goedert. He's out for the next four weeks with a fractured forearm.

So you have excuses for every single example of the Eagles defense not being some juggernaut that the Chiefs can't manage to score against? You're probably right. I'm not buying all of your excuses. Sorry. |

I’m starting to think they are load managing Toney.
Reid needs him for the playoffs and that’s when the isolation/focal plays going to Skyy switch. So we’re going to have to win with defense, running the ball and Mahomes managing the game till then.

I don't know why and Reid will never bash a player publicly so who knows... He did great in limited snaps last game though so maybe we will see him more against the Birds |

Who actually has earned snaps? Rice and maybe Watson? Going into the season the Chiefs made it clear they believed Toney had the most potential upside of this current room and yet his workload has diminished on a weekly basis for seemingly no reason. He's far from the only WR struggling and yet he seems to have had his workload taken away at a disproportionate rate.

What has MVS done to earn snaps other than be the highest paid WR on our roster?

Man, I want to see the Chiefs embrace the "zipper" technique (go to 11:39) and see how they hold up.
We don't quite have the bodies along the DL to fully stand up to the tush push, I don't think. Almost all of our DTs are 3-techs. But I'd love to see it executed. |

I think he's fine, I don't think he's a disaster or anything. But Reid/Bienemy/Spags ran circles around his entire coaching staff in the Super Bowl. The only reason the Eagles kept that close is because Hurts became Superman. So I do think it would be a problem for the Chiefs if the Eagles just tried to run on us all game. It just wouldn't remotely surprise me if they opted to keep airing it out against a Chiefs defense built for offenses who air it out. The Chiefs just put the clamps on the best WR combo in the league. Brown/Smith is not far behind that, but the Chiefs D is going to put clamps on them, too. |

I think they're load managing Toney as well. I'm ready for them to end it and just put the guy out there.

Sirianni has the most punchable face in the world. The entire god damn world. I can't stand the guy.
Talk about being born on third base, in terms of coaching. Yeah, he goes for alot of fourth downs. He's had a great roster and has a great GM. **** him. |

Gotta be Sirianni, right? Guy is a fine coach, like he's not terrible. But you're dead right, the Eagles are about as coach-proof as you can make a team. The guy brought in Fangio for the Super Bowl. That's just not something you do if you're confident you have the staff to solve any opponent's scheme. |

Chiefs are 4th in yards per play and 3rd in opponents' yards per play. Seems pretty balanced to me.
Most of the offensive issues are easily correctable. Cut out the unforced errors and focus drops. Stop calling idiotic plays on 3rd and a foot. Unleash Rice and Toney. Got a feeling Andy's gonna have a little something special prepared for his old team. |
