I love Bolton, he's my favorite player on defense. I am not a Mizzou fan.

If Uzomah produces they KU and Mizzou fans won't hate him anymore. Trust me.

With that said, I was disappointed when we drafted him. I didn't and still don't see the juice.

There's such a thing as positional need, and it doesn't always make itself clear at the time you're making a pick because nobody can predict the future.

It's quite easy to say "well, drafting Joey Porter Jr instead makes the most sense" but if you were Veach in April of 2023 I'll bet dollars to donuts you wouldn't have the balls to take another 1st round CB in back to back years when we had the secondary we did at the time.

Sam Laporta, who would’ve given us our replacement for Kelce and a great 2TE package until then. Joey Porter @CB who was an obvious need because we knew Sneed was going to go. Branch the other number two pick from Detroit at safety would’ve been great. QB Will Levis could have been interesting. We would have trained him behind Mahomes and next year traded him for a top number one draft choice to a team desperate for a QB. by the way, that’s probably the only way we will get into a position to draft a top 10 prospect. If we desperately needed a DE, which I don’t think we did, the Rams Brian Young would have been a much better pick and they got him in round three.

Probably the best choice would’ve been Porter.

I laughed out loud at Will Levis

Well that's because you haven't thought about it. Take a QB every round of the draft. Train them for a year. Trade them for 7 first round draft picks. You're against that?!?!

Sure sure, second round picks are better value than 7th rounders but have you considered how GOOD Veach is in the 7th round??

Noted PFF genious Eric Eager had us taking not one, but two centers last year in his first mock draft - for similar argle bargle reasons.

Not sure why everybody thinks drafting Levis over FAU is so laughable. Note it wasn’t my first option, but I thought it would be an interesting idea , and still do.

Levis fell a lot further than most expected. going into the draft He was rated along with the other top three. If you look at where Penix and Nix were drafted this year and how Levis performed last year I think he would’ve been a better alternative. so I think he might have trade value to get into the top 10 or close to it.

We obviously aren’t going to be drafting somebody to replace Mahomes, so this isn’t a Rogers / love situation. But I think if you got somebody who fell a lot further than they were expected to like Levis and they benefitted from Andy and Pat for a year, they might be valuable trade material to get into the top 10 draft picks.

I obviously don’t know if this is true, but it would seem that when we could not trade down to draft somebody we wanted Veach just drafted FAU without exploring other alternatives. At a minimum in my opinion we should’ve at least traded down and got from Tennessee The draft picks that Arizona got when they provided the pick Tennessee used to draft Levi’s.

Maybe FAU will come through. I hope so. But he hasn’t shown signs of it so far even though there has been loss of opportunity.

It's nonsense, that's why. NONSENSE.

There's nothing even remotely close to a guarantee that you ever recoup anywhere near what you spent. It's a terrible investment idea.

I'm all for taking a mid round or late round project and coaching them up to flip them for a higher future pick, but spending a first? **** no. That's dumb.

What if Pat plays 16 games every year?

Teams are gonna trade a high 1st for levis based on preseason action and 1 throwaway regular season game a year, are they?
