You don't think maybe the Chiefs had an idea on his health, and that being a reason they moved on?

A lot of teams backed off him bc of questions about his knee. I remember several sources including Schefter saying that. In fact I think that’s why the Colts backed out

Played hurt throughout his career here. If that's the reason we have to heavily rely on bum ass scrubs like Nazeeh Johnson and cumulatively weakened our defense then it was a pretty glaring **** up.

They relied on Jaylen Watson who was playing excellent football but got hurt.

They did miss on draft picks like Kamal Hadden though. Need to draft a corner really early again next Spring.

We've had massive issues defending the slot all season. Even before the Watson injury.

Football is ****ing hard.

We need a new LT, have to replace Trey Smith at RG after we let him walk, add a handful of WRs, restock the RB room, add a pass rusher or two as well as good CB depth. All in one offseason.

.46 EPA/dropback (32nd)
65.1% success rate (32nd)
117 QB rating (32nd)

Dead last in multiple metrics. Chiefs defense has allowed 22 TDs on the year, total. 8 of them have come from teams targeting the slot.

Hell, we had folks pounding the table for not giving up multiple mid round picks for Lattimore, who has actually missed a ton of games recently and seems poised to miss more for the Commanders.

And yet...they still traded him.

Now he's played what, 3 games this season? Seems they knew what they were doing there.

The defense got worse....they knew that would happen and went to strike up the offense....they get hurt. Shit happens.

That would be more Chamarri Connor playing the slot than your outside guys anyway.

Yes. I'm well aware they traded him. I just think it was an avoidable mistake that has had the cumulative effect of making our defense significantly worse by forcing McDuffie out on the boundary instead of in the slot where he excelled.

Again, acting like an 18 million AAV contract wasn't attainable is absolute bupkis. Danna is getting 8 million AAV and Tranquill is getting a bit over 6 million AAV. That's just over 14 million going to two guys that have been largely replacement level players this season instead of an elite CB that Spagnuolo has said multiple times was one of the key contributors that made the defense as stout as it was.

But they weren’t replacement level last year. I doubt anyone saw this drop off coming.

He's not going to listen to logic he's just going to continue to convince himself that its something Sneed could play through and everyone is wrong but him.

He missed tons of camp and practice time throughout his Chiefs tenure and still played in nearly every game here. Almost like he's willing to play through injury. Well, until he's sent to a bottom tier team with no hopes for a playoff push. Then he's sitting out over a month with a quad bruise/strain.
