Whistle past the graveyard all you want, but this defense has been pretty ****ing awful recently to close out games.

Do you think they’re going to play this poorly in the playoffs?

They’re obviously not as good as last year, but this is the first game in however long that they’ve given up 30.

That doesn’t mean 30/game is the new normal

No. 30 points will be an outlier. Far more concerned with them giving up potential game tying or winning drives 3 straight games now.

Yup. Earlier in the year we were nails at that, and now it seems like teams can just go right down the field late in the game when they have to have it.

I said this last week against the Broncos when a rookie QB comes in and makes the plays he has to put them in position to win. And everyone was all "wE OnLY alLoWEd 14 PoinTS" and I said...."yeah but that's ignoring the real issue."

That real issue was Josh Allen yesterday and the fact that we couldn't stop him when it mattered.

40 drop backs. No sacks. This defense is having issues too.

I don’t know where we rank in takeaways but it doesn’t seem like luck is gracing us much in that department, unfortunately.

Part of it is scheme, and I don’t necessarily want to go more aggressive if it’s going to lead to more holes in coverage. But that IS something that could help us out if we were closer to average?

Josh Allen has only taken 13 sacks in 11 games. Chiefs Defense is 27th in getting sacks. Not a surprise that no sacks yesterday. I trust Spags but I was bummed they kept blitzing and giving up conversions on 3rd and long. Seemed to be all game.

The DL is a bigger issue than the secondary imo. Jones is not playing as well as last year, Karlaftis and Danna are absolute mid and FAU is a non-entity. Nnadi remains a liability and Turk looks knackered. At some point we've got to generate pressure with 4 because for awhile the DL not named Jones has lived off Spags' blitzing.

Sure, Nazeeh hasn't looked great and guys like Cook look pretty average to me. But they're having to hold up for far too long.

Last year in both games the Chiefs used a spy LB (Gay and Leo) to sit right behind the line in case Josh decided to run.

They didn’t do that at all yesterday. Was Spags trying something different here?

I gaurantee will not play the Bills offense like that again. Leo will sit there and spy Allen

Are you talking about the Titans or the Chiefs?

Our defense is healthy compared to other teams. We're down a #2 CB and our 3rd best pass rusher.

I didn't know it was that bad. Feels like George at least has gotten plenty. We've been among the league leaders in prior years.

I guess my point is that Sneed isn’t available to play for the Titans how would he help things here?

Not sure if you realized this but Sneed missed all of camp with the Titans after missing pretty much all of camp with us in 2023.

He’s not playing this weekend and will miss his 6th consecutive game. They aren’t sure when he’ll be back.

Imagine the outrage if we shelled out for this guy and he missed camp and half the ****ing season making that much money?

Like I've said already, dude isn't willing to play hurt on a bad team with no playoff hopes. He missed 2 games total for the Chiefs, one being a non injury personal issue and one being a week 18 glorified preseason game.
