MCU Meta Discussion

The various movies obviously deserve their own threads once things actually start moving on them, but it seems like we should have a place just for general discussion about what they're planning. So here ya go.

I should clarify - he's not a photocopy of Superman, but he's certainly in his class in terms of near invulnerability and strength. And not an alien; his backstory is nothing like that.

Really curious if they can pull of the Sentry character. Because he's really weird and complex in the comics. I can see it being a pretty tough role, but we'll see..

The portrayal of a schizophrenic "Superman" was pretty awesome in the comics though...

I feel like he’d benefit greatly from a stand-alone movie or TV series.

But they did well enough with the mentally ill superhero thing in Moon Knight so we will see..

But they also completely ****ed up Adam Warlock, another similarly complex character.

Yup.

There's some great books if you ever want to experience the original stories.

I'll admit I'm a sucker for this show. Loved the comics in the 80's.

They’re still ****ing that Captain Carter chicken, eh?

Avengers Megazord is a cool concept, though, I will admit. And Storm with Mjolnir? I’ll watch just to see what that’s about.

Hayley Atwell must have some serious pull with Kevin Feige

And there is comic reference for Storm wielding Mjolnir, which is pretty damned cool, but the bigger point is the X-Men are joining "What If?" and that is SUPER freaking cool. Someone was claiming they got a glimpse of Apocalypse in there somewhere, making it all over the top if true, but I didn't see it.
