Dorsey played Elway and Oakland like a fiddle last year when they overpaid for Donald Stephenson and Sean Smith.

Both of these players were benched and we got comp picks for them

Dorsey must be the greatest ever... some around here like to say he hoodwinked the Broncos into taking Lynch. Lots of strategery and misdirection in the draft for sure, but giving Dorsey all this credit for what other teams do is kinda funny. It's as silly as someone suggesting that Elway tricked Houston into overpaying for Brock when Denver offered and was willing to pay about $3M less per year. Elway was lucky that he stood his ground on the money and that Houston was willing to pay more without meeting with or spending time with Brock.

I don't think Dorsey tricked Elway into drafting Lynch. I think KC had no ammo. Elway did the right thing with Brock IMO.

I wish Denver would have overpaid him.

We paid peanuts for Stephenson. He was nothing more than a cheap rental with some upside.

Sean Smith got benched week 2 and then came back and graded out higher than Marcus Peters did for the year

What's funny is Schwartz was brought in to shut down Von Miller and then Von went out and got 3 sacks on him the next time he played against him.

Peanuts for Donald Stephenson?

Elway gave him the 14th highest deal among RT's and he was the 16th highest paid RT last year...and he was benched for Ty Sambraillo

Yeah and we can cut him whenever we want with very little dead money.

The ghost of Tamba Hali had a cap # three times higher than Donald Stephenson did last year.

You silly infant.

John Elway offered Brock Osweiler more than 17m per year and tried to offer more when Brock stopped taking his calls and basically gave Elway a "Bye, Felecia"

Then, he went out and signed 2 offensive tackles (to replace the offensive tackles he had drafted the previous year in the second and third round) to stupid contracts that he's having to release this offseason.

The best part of that is by signing those 2 guys, Elway was so sure they were the answer to his OL problems that he lost premium comp picks by signing them.

Siemien had to have major shoulder surgery (that the team downplayed) that has a 5-6 month recovery time.

No more Demarcus Ware.

Talib is getting old and Roby is about to get overpaid.

Thomas and Sanders are getting overpaid (and Sanders is getting old) and they have nobody to throw them the ball.

Elway treats FAs like used cars and has a growing resentment for his style.

I look forward to him falling on his face even further without Manning.

So, you're in agreement that Elway got played.

And where is your evidence for point number 2?

One of the sacks was a designed screen that Alex ruined by holding the ball. The play design was for Schwartz to let Von free and get to the 2nd level.

But I'm sure Knowmo knew that

Through half of the season, Sean Smith had a 94 passer rating against.

Unless he had a monster second half of the season, I'd say you're full of shit.
