Cool rides. Mine won't have the cool factor of some of your older classics, but I just got a new (to me) joy ride of my own. Got a 2014 Ford Mustang GT Premium about 2 weeks ago. Low miles. Enjoying it. First mods will be tires, wheels, and suspension to help the straight line traction a bit. I want to eventually up the power level, but trying to hook up what is there better first. I figure tires, shocks, and upper and lower control arms in the back should be a good start.

Got her a hotrod toy ’57 Ford and when she drives it, which isn’t very often, she drives it like a grandma, burns the shit out of the clutch driving it everywhere 2nd. But her Jeep Liberty she drives like a maniac. Drives me crazy.

Then I'll take over and she'll get all bitchy because I ran the tread off it. Woman!! It ain't a ****in' hybrid! It's a noisy, smelly, ill-handling, hard-starting rattle trap with fewer safety features than our daughter's Power Wheel. The only saving grace is that the designers were kind enough to make sure that the steering column actually pierces your chest in the event of an accident so you won't suffer or have to fully grasp that you just murdered a unicorn - it's the Chevy 'euthanasia' package that came standard on all late 60s era muscle cars. It gets 8 MPG and needs premium fuel. It can't be taken out in the rain and even if you wanted to take it out in the snow it probably wouldn't start. I've spent more maintaining it this year than I've spent in the 4 years I've owned my Sedan and that thing has 80,000 miles on it. There is NOTHING sensible about this vehicle and I'm getting shit from you right now for breaking the back end loose?!?!?! Get the **** outta here with that...

Here's the full trunk view. I went at the right side because that's where almost all the rust was. Obviously it looks pretty awful because it's through that spatter paint and into the original red but if you look on the left there you can see that the pan itself wasn't really compromised, just a shitload of surface rust (though see at the top? Those two holes were painted over so this clearly isn't a new issue).
Spoiler!
Here's just a shot on the part I've hit with the wheel:
Spoiler!
Spoiler!
See, you can see another spot that they'd painted over with a some pitting on the track. There's obviously a little more rust I'll need to get of there but again, the vast majority of it is pretty sound, even at the worst spot. Finally here's some of that scalloping that's under the paint I was talking about
Spoiler!
At some point water was getting in here worse/more often than it is now (the trunk seal is good; I think it's getting in at the glass or maybe even from underneath when I get spray up into those holes from the road). They painted it and covered it so I just had no idea. Structurally everything feels fine so I feel like if I can get the POR-15 patch kits and a new thing of spatter paint, I can clear the rust to stop the process, patch the floor to make it watertight back there again, put the POR down to prevent any additional rusting and then re-paint it and put in removable carpet panels to finish the look while also giving me the ability to monitor the floor pan going forward.

I'll eventually put a C6 in her '57 but I've got my Jeep to work on so she's just going to have to wait or buy one for it herself.

Figured i'd share some pics with you guys since i always talk about it and never show you guys anything. Here's some progress pics of a few of the cars in the shop right now. They're kinda shitty pics, but the shop was all closed up and everything was jumbled inside, which made it hard to get decent pics. When i get time and cars aren't so crammed, i'll post more.
Just progress pics, so nothing super cool yet. None of these cars are the car that i made the "naming" thread about the other day. ^ '67 Mustang for the customer's wife. Basic resto job with some nice, user friendly upgrades. High end suspension, good brakes, 347 stroker. Nothing too fancy.

This one here is a 65-6 Coupe. Also a 5.0 Coyote motor....but this one is Twin Turbo'd. Not much to see on this one yet, the beauty of this car is underneath at moment. Would have to get in on a lift to give you something to look at.
The Turbos are mounted on each side of the trans, which is what you're seeing here.
