Yes, he made some mistakes tonight but he's a resilient player. The more teams focus on Rice and Kelce the more space Mecole will have to roam. That's when he becomes a lethal weapon.

Give him a minute. Patrick kept throwing to him for good reason. Mecole is close to being his old self.

He's shown the ability to consistently beat single coverage deep, but he has always been a really bad deep ball tracker. He's got better hands and runs better short/intermediate routes than MVS, so I'd still rather play him at the Z position than MVS all day long. Maybe he will run into a deep ball against buffalo.

He should spend the off-season shagging batting practice balls in the outfield for the royals.

The whole group improved once Skyy and Toney weren’t eating snaps. They would probably be even better if Mecole snd James eat most of MVS snaps, as well.

MVS down to 41% is huge improvement in itself. I did notice Ramsay on him a lot though which seemed like a waste for them but I support it.

I think they will draft a WR in Round 1 or 2 but they still take time to develop. We have to sign a vet or 2 in FA that can hit the ground running.

I was thinking they needed to bring in minimum three receivers either through the draft or free agency in this offseason. I'm down to thinking they could do it with two after watching this kid develop over the last month or so.

Yep. I think Rice allows you to draft a stud and be patient. We could name a few guys on the wrong side of 30 at reasonable rate that still have a bit of juice left in the tank until the 24 draft pick or 2 would be ready. I'm just not seeing us go after an Aiyuk type guy that in his prime but will command big $.

The only thing I would say in Hardman‘s defense is that he’s been on the shelf for almost this entire season, he can’t really be in a great form personally or in a good rhythm with a quarterback yet
