Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Wentz is essentially what you hope Mahomes is in a year or two. He's a damn stud

Agreed.

Considering age, salary, talent, etc...

My ranking:

1a. Mahomes - 23 in September.
1b. Wentz - 26 in December.
3. Wilson - 30 in November.
4. Rodgers - 35 in December.

No one else I’d rather have than those 4 in the NFL right now considering all the factors & I’ll take Mahomes considering his age.

Wentz is a great, young proven commodity. I think Mahomes has more arm talent, Wentz has more mobility. If you had to choose you'd go Wentz just because he's shown who he is already and Mahomes still needs to show it over multiple NFL games. I still feel like Mahomes could be the better of the two when it's all said and done.

You guys are crazy taking Mahomes over anyone that's established at this point. Maybe after this year but we've had 1 game sample size.

At this exact moment, contracts notwithstanding, I'd take some guys over him.

It's just so early, and you guys are already jerked bone dry. Settle down.

I don't want to be a homer or anything but I think Mahomes has a really good chance of being the first 6000 yard 60TD 0INT quarterback this season.

I've found myself rooting for Texas Tech all the time now in different sports just because Mahomes came from there.

It does sound crazy but I feel the same way. Maybe it's just the fact that he is our own and we can see how good he will be without having to doubt it. That's damn exciting.

But for me it is seeing him do things I haven't seen any quarterback ever do in quite the same way. That pass he dropped in the bucket for a first down while running backwards with Von Miller about to crush him was amazing. How he even saw Robinson at the moment he released the ball is beyond me.

That play showed an example of downfield vision, anticipation, accuracy, and touch (all while under immense pressure) that I can honestly say I've never seen before. I wouldn't trade that for anything right now.
