I'll say it again. You can't move Moore to RT.

Well, you can, but it won't go well.

Moore has that guard build with the ability to pass pro.

Left guard may make more sense next to a rookie LT.

That’s assuming Kingsley doesn’t dominate.

Would be nice to have too many good OL options.

The rest of the draft makes me feel significantly better about this pick.

We didn’t entirely miss out on RB (ours may be limited but he has the burst I wanted). We didn’t miss out on a Tranquil replacement (maybe even this year if he regresses further). We added 2 bodies to the DL. We got our WR at a tremendous value. We got another CB (not a guy most of us had on the radar but a good value regardless).

I didn’t love a RB in the first round with the depth of this class so I’m okay passing on Henderson. I wanted Burden but I like Royals a lot and I wouldn’t necessarily be happier with Burden and a project OT in the 4th. Another DL would’ve been alright, but were we realistically going to do much better than ONL and Gillotte?

I still don’t feel great about this pick, but I’m having a tough time answering “if not Simmons, then who?” with how the rest of the draft ended up.
Simmons is exactly the kind of player KC needed to take a chance on. Their options are pretty limited. There was no elite LT in this draft and even if there was the chances of KC getting him are essentially 0, and that’s even with a Rickey Williams type haul. As such they can:

1. Take a chance on Simmons at the 31st/32nd pick and hope he recovers from his injury enough that he becomes the cornerstone LT this team has needed since Fisher was cut.
2. Keep drafting high upside guys in the 2nd round or later and hope one pans out (Kingsley comes to mind).
3. Continue bringing in stopgaps for the rest of Mahomes career.

They have tried options 2 and 3. Why not try with option 1?

If Moore is a stud and slides to RT to take over for Taylor long term, we hit a grand slam.
If Moore is a stud why would he want to slide to RT? Especially with his contract and what stud LTs make?

People are pissed off because he said in an interview he's looking forward to playing for KC for the next four years?

Listen n00b you don't understand how we do things on CP. We brawled from 2008 until 2018 about quarterbacks. You might be too big of a pussy to deal with it but we fight over things here.
