Pickston Lynch will never be good enough to hold even Alex jock. Denver's roster is ****ing terrible and another few years of Elway drafts will only make it worse. As the FAs Manning brought in age, the team will bottom out soon enough. It's Oakland and KCs still stacked roster for the West for years to come.

Siemian is smart, can make the play calls, can read the D and can make all the throws. Did he check down a lot because teams took DT and or Sanders away because there was no TE threat? Sure but when he did have time to make a big throw it was placed where the receiver had a chance to run after the catch. The bomb he threw in the Bengals game was a thing of beauty and then he had that great touch pass to Fowler against you guys that should have won the game.

I think Lynch is the Brent clone and he is a couple years away, that was a need pick, not BPA so John will force them to get him to improve but they have 2 QB's because John believes in drafting and developing QB's every year.

I keep hearing rumors that John prefers Lynch and doesn't like Siemian but Siemian was clearly the better QB last year. Lynch got worse as the year went on.

With CJ back, a drafted RB to compete with Booker, a TE upgrade (either FA or Draft), improving WR depth after DT and Sanders, and of course multiple OL upgrades Siemian should pay big dividends for us under McCoy's scheme and in his 2nd year of starting.

You guys get to trot out alex again and the same old scared Line of Scrimmage O that Andy has coached for the last 5 years while your D atrophies into averageness.
Project RB........Lmao.

No such thing.

You either suck or you don't at RB. 4th round ball carriers are not projects.

Booker has been a disappointment but the oline was struggling all year too. Broncos first round pick will be real interesting, I wonder if Elway will go offense or defense, perhaps a RB or a TE or a go big D with a LBer or DT...

Wrong. Lynch is a greater asset on the bench than Smith will ever be on the field.
Being better than Alex Smith is not a major accomplishment.

Being worse than him IS.

Even at his absolute worst, Talib didn’t allow more than 43 yards in a single game all season long. In eight of his 13 starts, he allowed two or fewer catches. He was also the only full-time starting cornerback not to allow a touchdown all season long. Those stats are nothing short of incredible, but they don’t stop there. Talib would finish seventh in catch rate (53.0 percent) and second in passer rating against (49.5) for what was easily the most impressive statistical season for any corner this year.

While Talib didn’t regularly follow opposing receivers this season, it wasn’t like he had an easy go of things. The Broncos played man coverage on 48.8 percent of their defensive snaps this season, the fourth-highest rate of any team in the NFL. When Talib did play man, he was the definition of a lockdown corner. He allowed only 14 receptions for first downs on 39 such targets and one reception that went for 20 or more yards. Talib simply did not get beat down the field in 2016.

The jaw-dropping numbers for Talib go on and on. While teammate Chris Harris Jr. was his nearest competition, Patriots safety Devin McCourty and New York Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie deserve recognition for their outstanding seasons as well. In the end, though, Talib’s level of play on a snap-for-snap basis was too much for them to overcome. It’s scary to think that Denver has their duo locked up through 2019—meaning the no-fly zone isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Broncos may be interested in Tony Romo, if he’s a free agent

It’s believed Tony Romo will ask the Cowboys to release him in lieu of trying to trade him. Romo has another reason to push for the termination of his contract.

The Denver Broncos, previously believed to be not interested in Romo, reportedly could be interested if Romo can be obtained free and clear on the open market. Mike Klis of 9news.com reports that “a source in the Broncos’ football department did not dismiss the possibility” of signing Romo, if a trade isn’t needed.

Although the Cowboys may prefer to get value for Romo, cutting him would actually have a benefit, since the salary cap hit could be divided over two years. The team nevertheless has been very coy about its plans for the franchise quarterback who has been supplanted by Dak Prescott, prompting speculation that the Cowboys prefer to finagle a trade.

Romo’s interest in the Broncos would depend on the role the team envisions for him. Would he be installed as the starter? Would he have to compete with Paxton Lynch and Trevor Siemian?

The financial package the Broncos offer to Romo would say plenty about how they plan to use him. Even then, it’s possible that some other team would offer Romo much more than Denver would.

None of it matters unless and until the Cowboys release Romo’s rights. The question of whether they will soon will become one of the biggest issues in the NFL.

Romo going to Denver is a certainty, and the Manning treatment will follow.
