I'm disappointed that the offense couldn't score more than 17 points in 11 drives against a 20th ranked defense that was a little dinged up.

Just fyi, even last season our offense averaged over 50% scoring (any points) per drive.

It's not ideal. And to reveiw:

KC offensive drives in the 1st half:

PUNT
PUNT
FUMBLE
INT
TD

So, how many scoring drives is that?

2nd half, because you know, we did better:

TD
PUNT
PUNT
FG
CLOCK RUNOUT

So, you tell me: is that good offense or not so good offense?

Chief Fans do this crap EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. It's as though they are entitled to a finished product from the get-go, whether or not that's even theoretically feasible.

I mean sure, if there’s a guy that would help. But you aren’t gonna just drop a vet in and him be up to speed quick.

Keep playing the young guys. They got better this week.

No, but you're constantly taking the most negative take possible, and posting stats where "if you take away this, and you take away that, then this" and it's bullshit. A bunch of bullshit.

The defenders rode their guys to the boundaries like they're ****ing supposed to.

You can't take away Skyy's big play and then compare it to last game because the big play ****ing happened.

If you take away Wasp, we probably didn't even win SB54.

But you can't, because it ****ing happened.

You try to come off like some statistics guru, but all of your supposed stats are bullshit or at best completely out of context.

Just commenting on what we have seen so far which is admittedly a small sample size.

It's offense that's likely to get better. We're breaking in TWO new tackles and, clearly, new WRs. Hell, this was Trav's first regular season game this year and he was clearly still shaking off the rust.

If you truly don't think we'll get better this season, then you're probably onto something.

Kelce will be 34 and is it becoming painfully obvious that we should start protecting him? Like, when a defenses whole strategy is to have 2-3 guys clobber him maybe give the dude some help?

The WRs are a big problem right now. How can you possibly say they’re not? I get if you want to be optimistic that they’ll get better. But they killed just as many drives as our OL did. I refuse to accept that mahomes can’t read the defense or just stalls drives. Or that one mistake is so devastating that it kills drives every single time. In fact we’re making mahomes worse because he’s overcompensating and he’s hesitant to throw to guys who might **** things up.

We didn’t make mistakes last year. We made a ton of them two years ago and this year. The big difference is this year we don’t have any reliable weapons (yet) to recover from mistakes. So every small mistake is a drive killer.
Great post IMO.

We're going to play teams that can score a lot more than 17 points. maybe we should score more.
We easily had 24, (20 minimum) on the road, against a legit playoff team, and kneeled instead. Because today, 17 was enough, despite being down two turnovers and ten penalties.

Offs.

i didn't take out Skyy's catch. i simply stated that without that one big catch, the WR room did exactly what they did last week. Well, to be absolutely precise, this week they caught 8 more yards this week.

And your grasp of statistics is apparently not the greatest.

Here's an example:

WR "X" catches 10 balls in a game. The first 9 balls he catches for 1 yard a piece, for a total of 9 yards/9 catches. On the 10th catch, he catches another 1-yard ball, but runs for 89 yards.

So, player X has 10 catches for 99 yards.

Is his average/catch really 9.9 yards?

Of course not. No one with a brain would believe that.

And that's why you get rid of the outlier datapoints. otherwise, you easily can end up with completely skewed results.
