Don't you think it's far more likely that in that particular play, it was a lack of awareness that lead to him not helping Pat? I mean his entire body of work screams "lack of awareness". So how did we get to "he doesn't care"? |

I absolutely agree with the last sentence. I only take exception to the idea that he doesn't care. He's obviously completely lost out there and I think that's all there is to it.

The kid is just swimming - more like drowning right now. I think there is hope. He is 21 and if he has even a bit of competitive toughness, he is going to be hell-bent on proving everyone wrong about his trajectory. But shame on Veach and Andy if they let him touch that field again this season. |

Leno's the only guy I've ever seen get his ass kicked as badly, and for a LONGER period of time, than Kingsley got.
You remember when Leno got thrust into that LT gig in Chicago? I'm wanting to say it was a Monday Night Football game and he just got strafed. It was savage. I don't say that to say he can't help - he might be able to (though I kinda doubt it). But when people say "Has anyone ever started that bad and been a credible player" - yeah, Charles Leno Jr, ironically enough, was absolutely that bad.

His confidence seems shot right now. His head was down and he seemed mentally exhausted. They need to sign Donovan Smith and redshirt this kid the rest of the way. Kid needs to be calling Mitchell Schwartz ASAP bc he lives in KC. Nobody better to help him with hand technique.

I mean Trey Smith played both LT and LG in college.....
Could really F with the OL and move Taylor to LT, Smith to RT and Wayna to RG. I think Smith could be fine at RT and if he ended up actually doing well it would make it much easier to pay him as a tackle than a guard. |

Why not see how Driskoll has progressed? If Morris goes down again try him instead of Kingsley. For Kingsley mental health he needs to red shirt the rest of the year and gain confidence back.

Same reason why Bahktari makes absolutely no sense. At the very least Donovan Smith has recent experience in this offense and could probably step in and not completely shit the bed.

You guys act like it is just getting a guy and going. There is roster management that needs to take place. And I don’t think Donovan is good enough to cut a young tackle or short another area just to have him on. Wanya has done fine and is no worse than what we would get with Donovan. |

Thuney knows this offense backwards and forward. He can just tell the LT his assignment in the huddle for the first couple weeks. I don't think a LT addition would be a problem if that guy can actually play. The question is whether or not any of these guys, Smith included, are going to be anything close to game shape.

You wouldn't necessarily have to cut an OT. I'd probably go ahead and cut CJ Hanson and not think twice about it. Then when the new guy is up to speed, make Kingsley a gameday inactive alongside Driscoll. Roster management wouldn't be that difficult.
