Let’s talk about the Texans

They are good and tough, noon game at Arrowhead. Your thoughts?

He should be resting this week (and ideally 3 days after that if we win vs HOU) instead of hobbling around on a bad ankle. If Mahomes is not able to run freely a month from now, none of these games right now mean anything. His health needs to be the first priority and everything else secondary to that (including winning December football games).

I've watched the Chiefs allow less than 14 points a game over the last three weeks.

Your choice to be a fan. I know the Browns were cooking Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

We have no idea if he can run freely right now. He hasn't practiced. And if they lose the #1 seed, they're exposing him to an extra game in the playoffs. If you're so scared of him getting hurt by playing, why would you be willing to play an extra playoff game?

People are overreacting and not thinking about this realistically.

Steven Nelson is coming. That should help alot too so we dont have to use Nazeeh Johnson as much.

I’ve seen him play hobbled before and there’s not one good reason for him to be doing that in the regular season against very good pass rushes in this situation.

It’s not the end of the world if they lose to the Houston Texans. It’s not even the end of the world if they lose the #1 seed. What is the end of the world, relatively speaking, is if we send Mahomes out there to play 2 games in 4 days on a sprained ankle and he worsens the injury to the point that he won’t be 100% healthy and able to run at full speed 2 weeks after that.

the chiefs should be able to win this games comfortably even with Wentz at QB. I think the Texans can keep it close but if they beat us I’d be pretty surprised. if we can give mahomes any of these games off, let it be this one.

It's because people literally think we're going to the SB no matter what like these other teams pose no threat, which is pretty insane.

It’s astounding.

“Mahomes needs rest so let’s sit him for the next two weeks and have his first game action with Brown be in a must win in week 18, which if they lose might mean he gets no more rest the rest of the way.”

I’ll take the option that potentially has us winning the next two against non division opponents, which are likely easier games than the Broncos, and then they literally get 3.5 weeks of rest if they want.

The #1 seed isn't a good reason? Come on, man.

I’ll take the option that involves not throwing a hobbled QB against two of the best pass rushes in the NFL 4 days apart just to win games that Wentz can win anyway that don’t matter much at all in the grand scheme of any SB winning season. We can win a SB without the 1 seed, we can’t do it without a healthy Mahomes.

They've won maybe one or two games comfortably all year, with Mahomes. People are expecting a win with Wentz at QB. It makes zero sense.

Not even close to good enough considering what is at stake if Mahomes worsens the injury.

Regular season games have been little more than preseason games for this franchise for a while now.

He could get hurt in that extra playoff game. It makes absolutely no sense to trade a game now for one then. Win these two and they get a couple weeks off. It's that simple.

Dude, we've won one game comfortably all season and it was yesterday. And mostly because the opposing team had 6 turnovers.

Are we playing SMU on Saturday?

the chiefs play good enough complimentary football and have a good enough coach to win a game against a team that looks like a sure fire playoff one and done at home. it’s not like we’ve been winning because of our offense.
