they're just ****ing holding him now, and the refs aren't calling it

on 4th and 10, before McDaniels called timeout, he was screaming in on Tua though

It's a testament to Spags and the defense that they're among the best in the league despite Jones not playing up to his usual standard either. If the team can get things somewhat calibrated on offense and Jones ramps up to elite again this team very well may roll through the teeth of the schedule undefeated.

I'm not sure that a lot of quarterbacks like Chris, but if he gets close I wonder if any of them would give him the ol' Brett Favre/Michael Strahan flop as a $1 million gift.

Oh well, at least he’s a postseason sack monster!
Last year he was. Let's not forget that dude didn't log his first post-season sack until last year. He was definitely a monster then, but he's also Houdini.

That QB draw not counting as a sack could end up costing him millions!

Sacks are technically only for plays when the QB was trying to pass. If he tries to pass, pulls it down because no one is open, and then is tackled when he scrambles, that's considered a sack. But if it was a designed run in the beginning, it's just a tackle for loss - not a sack.

There's some subjectivity to it, obviously, but most of the time you can tell the difference.

Not that they would change it now, but...

I've always thought that sacks should be reserved for game changing plays.

If the QB is tackled say for a loss of 5 or more yards, it is a sack.

If it is less than 5 yards, it is a tackle for a loss. (Or maybe 3 yards.)

If the QB pulls the ball down and gets back to within a yard or two of the LOS, so it is 2 and 12, that's not all so much different than an incompletion.

He was invisible for 99.5% of the game and really got no sacks.

5 games left and needs to double his current sack amount. At this point maybe we should hope he gets to 10.
