Kadarius Toney's role this season & stat predictions?

We have a bye week so that's good but everyone knows Reids playbook isn't the easiest for new WRs. What does everyone think his role will be immediately? What about at the end of the year? How many snaps will he have vs the Titans?

Some think he's just an option for 2023 and beyond but if the Chiefs gave up a late 3rd and 6th for him perhaps they are envisioning more.

Now Toub is the best ST coach ever, so maybe it's just a question of coaching him up properly. No question the Chiefs coaching staff is the best he's ever been around, so there's plenty to be optimistic about, but Toney may not be our answer this season as a returner. Just saying.

But it also means Toney may not be returning kicks/punts right now.
He can't be any worse than "can't find the ball in the" Skyy Moore. Like someone else said a few days ago...I think returning punts is killing Skyy's confidence as a WR.

I guess we'll see. i don't know; I've only seen him return kicks/punts in his highlights reels, so of course there isn't any of him muffing one.

But considering his injury history, I doubt he's ever going to be a long-term returner. I think he'll be more of a situational returner.

so this guy currently has 2 bum hamstrings correct? When were they saying he MAY be ready to play?

Seems like this was a move more so for next season or to keep for trade bait and what not.

Both Andy Reid and Toney himself said he's 100% healthy and ready to go.

All the news says he's healthy and ready to play. There was something weird going on in NYG concerning his health. I've heard more than a couple of NY reporters say that management decided that Toney wasn't healthy when he said he was. And vice versa. It's confusing, but the bottom line is that the NYG and K. Toney disagreed about his status.

But yeah, the more I look into t, the more it seems like acquiring Toney was more about next season than this one. Which I guess means we're still looking for another offensive weapon for this season?

You think Toub is the beat ST coach ever? Even after watching KC trot Moore out there and muffing kicks?

If you look at the advanced analytics, he's one of the best ever, yes.

How reliable are these so-called advanced analytics for ST coaches, though? Are they baseball WAR reliable or like, PFF QB rankings reliable? I'm not familiar with them at all, but based on how often Toub's teams seem to **** up, I'm deeply skeptical.

They're more like PFF QB rankings. But all that means is that individually, you have to take them with a grain of salt. It's when ALL of them agree on something that really means something.

This is the key. Dave Toub's reputation as a ST coach is unanimous among all analysts, and among all NFL coaches. And has been for more than a decade.

The only people that question Toub's excellence as a ST coach is the occasional ignorant fan.

I dont really know if its possible to assign certain NFL positions for players a WAR like they do for baseball. Just so many variables and not every play is of equal value. Great QBs are great because they move the sticks on 3rd down. And can make crazy plays when their team is losing and they have to.

I'd give him KR & PR duties immediately, and develop a sweep and pass play for him his first week. Let him know he's got a place on this team and we've got him in mind.
