Planeteers Jam Session At Knuckleheads

stevieray started all of this, and I think it's a fantastic idea.

We need to pick a date. He said it's open mic Sat & Sun during the day. I will gladly travel on the decided day.

I would like to jam with (in no particular order) demonpenz, SNR, eDave, that computer guy that had the Homer Simpson small brain avatar and at least two others I can't think of right now.

Oh yeah, that guy that sang "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" with Phobia at a 37ForEver thing.

Of course, FAX. FAX and I talked about getting together and jamming. We discovered we have a mutual former band member.

FAX, if you are reading this.....

When the guitar is making ears bleed, it's impossible to bring the rest of the orchestra up to that level without feedback all over everywhere.

I would bet that if that same guitar player brought his Deluxe Reverb, cranked it to where he is getting some tone, the sound engineer would wind up being a god.

The only thing you can do with a prima donna singer is kind of gross and is usually done face-first up against a brick wall.

I didn't get a call either. I'm not all that far from there, I'd have been all over it.

In all seriousness, it was a top quality jam with a lot of good players. It is obvious that it has been going on for awhile. At one point there were 11 players on stage, including a horn section.

Hammond B3 supplied, and the first jam Bob Dole has attended that included tuba (with Christmas lights, no less), accordion, and some handheld electronic gizmo that sounded a lot like a xylophone. (Can't recall the name.)

Anyone looking for some live music on a Saturday afternoon would not be disappointed by this freebie.
