Do you really take some time to appreciate where we are?

Became a Chiefs fan in the early 90's when Word, Okoye, DT, Smith was here.

Looking back on 30+ years with this team. I remember the 97 playoffs like it was yesterday when we went 13-3 and the ****ing Vaseline greased up donkey dicks beat us in Arrowhead and what an absolute gut punch that was.

So I wanna share something here. I went through some awful shit in my teen years with multiple friends being killed and a lot of other stuff in my life.

One thing I really learned from loss, was how to appreciate when things were truly good.

As a fan, sometimes I just sit and think it's wild for us to be here in this position. Where we're the absolute center of every sports show, every commentator, all the hate we get (which I love), and the fact that from top to bottom we have the best organization in the NFL.

Bro it feels weird to even type that with all the Carl Peterson years (some weren't that bad but some were truly awful).

You guys don't know this but I was friends with Jovan Belcher and I remember the day the news hit and before I even saw the name I knew. Don't ask me how but I did. He used to text me about upgrades for his car and send me pics and vice versa.

I'm friends with several former Chiefs players and sometimes we talk about how crazy this time is.

Anyway, the point is......man I hope you guys really take all this in right now because we will never get it again like this.

From Pat, to Andy, Trav, this defense, everything. There are fans for teams for 50+ years that die and never see a single Lombardi. EVER. We've seen 3 in four years. And hopefully the only 3peat to ever happen.

Just a reminder to really be present. This is some damn good times to be a Chiefs fan, fellas.

Our guy is a straight up winner.

Defense is ****ing fire and **** all of you think otherwise . The team has not given up 60 yards to a RB ALL YEAR.

But, carry on you wayward knuckleheads.
This place has evolved a bit in some ways, but will never seem to change in others.

For example, most of the "NFL is against the Chiefs"/"rigged against the Chiefs" stuff stopped after they didn't go to Atlanta for the AFCCG and ended up winning the SB.

It also seems like this place has embraced all the outside talk about the refs... we're certainly not nearly as defensive and butthurt as the Chiefs sub reddit.

And I figured Christmas Day would finally break how emotionally bitchy people can be week to week, but there are clearly still some stragglers...

Yesterday during the game, there were a couple moments of jumping off the couch during great plays.. like running Nix out of FG range. Outside of a "what the hell was that" when Mahomes overthrew Kelce though, it barely registered on the negativity radar.

Being an emotional bitch for 4 quarters seems like it would take away from the blocked FG a bit, IMO, if those people were still watching at all.
