If a defense in today's NFL gives up 3 good drives in a game, total of 14 points and it's a close game.....that's on the offense.

I agree with the sentiment of getting guys back once they are ready, but we're still the best team in the league.

It was ****ing Bo Nix. A rookie. That made the big plays when it mattered. Not Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen.

Yes, that's an issue.

The left tackle is also an issue. So was Pat in that game on two throws that puts the game away and he shit the bed.

That's just facts. I guess you're allergic to them

Imagine thinking the defense isn’t good enough when they allowed only 14 points? Even if the Broncos won with 17 points you can’t place that on the defense. They completely clamped Nix in the 2nd half until Butker ****ed us and put them at the 40 only needing 20 yards for a FG try.

The offense shit itself and missed 4 wide open TD’s. They couldn’t block, they couldn’t run the ball, they got outplayed and they got worked.

Again wtf are we doing blaming the defense here?

We were watching in a sports book in vegas, what happened on the Butker kick? He just shank it out of bounds?

You do realize these can both exist at the same time, right?

You're cool with allowing rookie shit quarterbacks to make the biggest plays when it matters, and then potential game winning drives look easy in our stadium?

Ok cool. I don't care about the 14 points. It was about the fact that Nix came in and made the plays TO WIN when it mattered. It took a blocked FG to win that game.

It was a bad day on both sides of the ball. I don't care about the score.

You should be mad that the 3X SB Champ QB didn’t make those plays when it mattered, especially missing a wide open Worthy and then missing a wide open Kelce putting that defense in that position in the first place. Should have been 21-14 and not 16-14.

The defense was the reason we were even in this game. They tightened up and gave this offense every chance to win. 4 straight drives they forced the Broncos to punt or try an unattainable FG that led to no points.

They clamped that offense from the middle of the 2nd quarter until the last minute of the game.

And you’re mistaken. Bo Nix had one good play in the 2nd half. That’s it. Don’t care about his 3 and 4 yard short passes. It was actually their Rb that made the first big play on that drive getting 6 yards on 3rd and 1 putting them in FG range in the first place. Regardless of that Nix throw they were already in range for their kicker.

Every team plays a poor game. The Broncos for example got raped in Baltimore last week. You’re acting like we gave up 40+ points like they did.

Again nobody played well but the defense kept them in this game the entire 2nd half. The offense choked more.

We're really not disagreeing here. Pat played the worst. The missed throw to X and then the absolutely horrible missed pass to Trav in the endzone isn't excusable. It's not.

And our defense has for the most part, bailed him out this season (Atlanta he couldn't close the deal, and there's at least one other game outside of this one too, but I can't remember which one).

I'm saying that the defense also has to be clutch or we lose. And McDuffie got beat several times when the game mattered.

Chris Jones? Where was he?

The problems that exist when you win, will be the problems that cause you to lose when it matters.

Meaning, Pat can't keep playing like shit for 3/4 of a game and we 3peat. And if the defense can't get stops on rookie QB's IN OUR HOUSE, when it matters, that too is an issue.

Since Watson went out the defense has def taken a slight step back. That should be obvious for anyone to see.

Ohh I'm being a homer for blaming it on the offense and not the defense? Makes sense!

It's the defenses fault that Pat and the offense had to settle for 3 with the ball inside the 5?

It's the defenses fault that Butker kicked the ball out of bounds and they started on the 40 with plenty of time only needing a FG to win?

Buddy, I don’t care about the outcome. It really doesn’t matter to me if we beat DEN or not. Doesn’t mean much to me if we lose to BUF this week. I don’t care about the undefeated season. I don’t even care about the 1-seed. Just get to and win the SB, that s all I care about.

I’m talking about a possible chink in the armor that may have been exposed with our best CB. Which might be a serious issue if it can be exploited by other teams, in particular, playoff teams.

Courtland Sutton is a very underrated player and was savvy enough to throw in extra steps/motions to his routes that threw McDuffie off. Trent spends hours each day in his film study room after practice preparing for opponents and has it down to foot angles and each step down to the inch.

Not many receivers are going to be able to replicate what he did.
