They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

I bet 2K on the Chiefs in the betting pool, with this shit group of WR's.

I also said Spags was going to mess Trevor up.

500 I won in real life.

Proof? We did last year when you doubted them until the very, very end.

The receivers were not the problem in this game. Not at all.
???

I mean I guess I'll have to wait for somebody to post after watching the all 22 and the WR may not have been the biggest problem...

But it seemed like there were plenty of times nobody was open quick enough.

I mean the OL isn't always going to give Mahomes enough pocket where he can wait for any WR to come somewhat open anywhere at some point. That is too low of bar for your receivers.

The goal is to be as efficient an offense as possible. They aren't that, when they are averaging less than 33% on 3rd down conversions, and around that 33% on scoring at all.

Not saying they can't get better, in fact, I've been saying they have to, all along.

But the reality is that this week they were basically the same as last week, they just didn't drop the ball 8 times.
Geez, without 8 drops we win going away last week.

Without ONE insanely flukey drop/pick 6, we win.

What's the evidence? Take away Trav's 26 yards and explain how they suck. Not the line, not the occasional poor Pat decision, the receivers.

No, read what I wrote slowly.

I said a hot team. Because who knows who will not be injured at the end.

So Baltimore with a healthy Lamar and their D (which was best D in football to end last year) matches up really well against us.

The goal should be winning a SB, not just pretending everything our FO did worked out.

Overall, our D is ahead of schedule.

Mahomes is Mahomes. We just need to make sure he has some help in a big moment in the playoffs.

But the whole idea of having to use the "hot team" bullshit instead of being able to actually list any specific teams is that every team has their flaws after the first couple of games. Nobody looks unbeatable/perfect.

It's like you're acknowledging that everybody else can get better, except for the Chiefs.

Do you get it yet?

No, I think you're reading too much into shit.

I was fine with playing a bunch of guys and seeing what we have.

The difference between us is I'm less stubborn. Let's give it a few more weeks but if this continues the idea we need to make a move will be the consensus here.

No, I'm not reading "too much into it".

You're just being intellectually dishonest. You know that there isn't a single team firing on all cylinders after the first couple games, but you want to pretend every contender but the Chiefs can improve and hit their stride down the stretch.

As long as Watson and MVS are your starting WR's, the offense will suck. They can't get open unless it's designed. Neither belong on the field unless you must take the top off the defense and stretch the field on a go route.

They would be much better off giving most of those snaps to the young guys, Rice and Ross and letting them figure things out early in the season. At least they can create separation and have much higher ceilings.

You could be right in the short term. It’s just going to take a bit of time but we’ll know after the Jets game how we’re trending. The long term plan is to get the guys we have playing at a higher level and Andy/Veach appear all-in on this approach. I think it pays long-term benefits but we’ll have games like today until they gel.

I’m in for the gel.
