Mahomes has been learning how to attack the Fangio defense for 3 years. Him and Andy completely wrecked it in 2022 and the only reason it hasn’t worked as well the last 2 years was injuries and lack of talent at WR.

Chiefs dropped 26 points in 3 quarters on Fangio’s Miami defense last year before taking their foot off the gas. The Bills ran the same exact type of defense 2 weeks ago with the same exact blitz percentage and a similar defense and we could have easily dropped 40 on the ass if not for our own mistakes.

The gameplan has been known ever since the Bills game. They know how to attack this defense.

It’s really simple. If the Eagles do not get consistent pressure on Mahomes they’re done. I don’t give a **** about Barkley. They don’t get heat on Patrick and it’s game over. It I’ll be just like last time.

If they can't get to Mahomes quickly they lose.


Andy knows this too so the line and the quick passing game will be what he is focused on in installation for the game.

Hopefully the Chiefs replicate their approach from the opening drive vs Buffalo… lots of short/quick passes.

Use the passing game to set up the run, and screens/high % passes + Mahomes scrambling will be more effective than trying to force the running game on first downs.

One thing that is as clear as day is what the Eagles do against 12 personnel. They've stayed in nickle since Dean went down and have no 3rd LB they trust. If Andy goes to it and the Eagles struggle then man that would be massive.

Yeah, those rollouts were good. I wish we could have an effective run game too, but that hasn't happened since like mid season. It will need to be short passes, slants, misdirection plays.

Just none of that double reverse and throw to Pacheco for a 2 yard gain. That play didn't work too well.
