In a game the Chiefs lost by six points, Alex Smith missed three wide open TDs

And yes he had a clean pocket on the second one.

When has this happened before...against the Steelers...in a crucial game....

Spoiler!

Flame away.

Hasn't Harrison not even been seeing snaps all season?

The missed pass to Robinson and the sack sealed the game. Smith makes that throw to him and it's first and goal from the 10 with a minute left.

Although really the Chiefs sealed their right to blame luck or any one play with the disaster that was the first half.

At the end of the day the only stat that matters on defense is points allowed. And while the Chiefs failure to contain Bell should be a concern, most people kind of expected it. Bell and Brown are good enough to where they're going to get their stats more times than not, that's just the way it is.

Andy Reid, Alex Smith, the OL, and running game simply did not get anything done. They went for 3 quarters without doing jack shit. You can't sit there with a straight face and go to bat defending that. You can't expect to win games when you go 3/4 of the game without really putting any pts on the board (3 pts<--bfd). The interior OL can't run or pass block. Smith was off all game. Should have hit Robinson on at least 2 occasions, 1 being a score. Just a bad game by Smith and the offense. Chiefs are banged up, need players to get healthy, esp on the OL.

Como is 100% correct, and to further demonstrate his point...

The 3 points we got was from the muffed free kick....

We gave away 2 points on a safety

So in all reality we went most of the game with the offense scoring -2 points

The Alex haters have always, and will always, blame the offense for every loss. No matter how badly the defense plays. They have done this ever since Alex Smith came to KC. To them there has never been a game lost by the defense if Alex Smith is the QB.

One bad game that does not mean you bench the QB when he leads the league in passer rating, QB compl %, #3 in total yds and has thrown 0 INTs (lowest in the NFL) through 6-games.

Come on man.... Use a little common sense.

If he was really new and improved, you blow this team and their weak secondary out in a revenge match at home, not freeze up. Damn his stats up to that point

Forgive me if I trust Andy Reid to make the right decisions when it comes to the QB position more than you or the other idiot Alex Smith hater posters on CP. This is not Romeo Crennel or Todd Haley. He's a HOF coach.. He's got a proven track record when it comes to the QB position brah. He's watched more tape on Mahomes than you or I will in a lifetime. He knows what he is doing.

I don't agree with him. No need to get mad and call people who prefer mahomes and arr fed up with alex idiots. Marty is a hof coach too. We are still scarred. If Andy watches film on alex and sticks with him, maybe he is the bullheaded idiot. Don't get caught up in early mvp talk when it was really hunt. FyI, I heard the same arguments when Haley and cassell were here. Yawn. It was always the line or the receivers. Bullshit. Real MVP's don't miss those shots against your nemesis, especially at home when you had a year to stew on the last loss to them and are undefeated.

Way TFF to watch the Alex haters vs. the Alex lovers fight like hookers on a slow night.

Really, I see it this way, Fire Reid for failing to challenge the call or for even going for it on 4th down. Kicking the FG in hindsight...

Gaines missed a pick/ block and with his helmet help gave Brown another TD after an easy tackle was missed. 19-10

A FG, not a TD, was scored and we were 6 points down 19-13 and the OL couldn't protect Alex11 and we failed to score a TD. We could have made a FG to tie if we would have kicked one instead of going for it earlier. (If we would have challenged the TD attempt we could have won. *Reid)

If we would have kicked "the" FG we could have done so at the end of the game for a tie.

Missing opportunities that Alex11 missed hurts but I can't blame a high throw as the true reason we lost the game there were too many reasons we lost. Just fire everybody!!!!!!

Hopefully as Jim Jefferies say" We can all do better"

Quit bitching about Alex11 and start bitching about the parts as a whole. Reid, Alex , Iyreek, Gaines, Hill and Kelce and the rest of the team. They sucked as a team.
