Once Mahomes has a level of comfort between him and Kelce we will have all we need.

Because we can still use Worthy to take top off. And when we get Brown back for playoffs we are going to be set.

Just think if Juju can give us some meaningful snaps too. Moving the chains on 3rd down would be no problem.

The way he snatches that second ball is exactly what I think of when I think of Hopkins and not what I think about when I think about many Chiefs WRs in the past.

Oh, NOW you think DHop is worth having in a Chiefs uniform?

Classic.

I really hope Hopkins helps Mahomes get back to being a bit more aggressive. He has really had to dial it back and take those first reads for short yardage so much that he’s not consistently getting to better options that are open.

That was an extremely promising start for him, dude had barely finished a cup of coffee here and still came away with two clutch grabs

By the time playoffs roll around, it'll look like he's been here three years

And Brown will be up to speed too. Our offense will be humming and the defense could be the best in the league.

If I am going to be honest....at first I didn't want Hopkins because on prior occasions he seemed to snub the opportunity to come here. My first choice was Amari Cooper....

But I am willing to admit I was incorrect and am happy to have him here.

Don't think I had a problem with you. And if you go back just a few pages in the other thread, I said that I wanted Amari over DHop, most recently. Partly over the injury concerns and partly because I didn't think he'd be traded.

Hell, even in the original thread, I initially started advocating for a "prototypical WR," not DHop specifically. "A guy to replace Sammy's role in the offense," is what I said. I typed that phrase so often I've worn those keys more than the others.

I began making an argument for DHop because I was bored; it was the off-season and I thought it might a good conversation. D___9 got insulting about it, so I'm ribbing him a little, because now all of the sudden he's on the DHop train.

It's all water under the bridge now though; just messing around. MNF isn't watchable and I'm not that into the WS, it's just on. So I'm goofing around, that's all.

I was rolling my eyes at some posters thinking we were going to make a block buster trade for Hill, which seemed unlikely for a lot of reasons.

Or that BV should get in a bidding war for a WR that doesn't really fit what KC wants or should try and pry a WR from a team that isn't that interested in trading. No panic moves.

But the Hopkins trade at that price? Yes, absolutely.
