at this point it doesnt matter at all what happens. The Chiefs went for it the way you're supposed to. Will i be disappointed hell yeah i would but i won't be mad at the chiefs for going to get their guy and giving him a legitimate chance

From the Albert Breer article I posted a page ago:

There’s another element to this trade, too, that shouldn’t be overlooked, beyond just the third-round pick (which in essence moved a comp pick the Chiefs would’ve gotten in 2020 up two years). If he can stay healthy, Kendall Fuller will be a very real player for the Chiefs. The frustration of the team’s long search for a corner to play opposite Marcus Peters was illustrated perfectly in the fall by the signing of Darrelle Revis off the street. Fuller should put an end to that frustration, and his presence should allow defensive coordinator Bob Sutton, an aggressive play-caller at heart, to be more creative.

Breer said in that article that he had specifically talked to a Chiefs coach about the trade. Which means that he likely got the info, including what's bolded above, from said coach. It sounds like Sutton's unaggressive scheme was due to a lack of confidence in the back end of the defense to cover on their own.

Kelce really starting to unload the praise:

Kelce joined the Golic and Wingo show on ESPN Radio and dropped this about Mahomes.

“I feel like the expectation and the anticipation is just as high as when Tyreek Hill came in. He was a little bit more under the radar because of what happened in college but you couldn’t describe it. The guy’s fast. The guy’s extremely fast. That still doesn’t explain the difference in how he plays the game.

“Patrick has that exact same, you can’t really describe, you can’t tell everybody how he throws it off his back foot, you can’t tell everybody how he’s running right and throws it all the way to the sideline on the left. You just can’t explain those types of things he does in practice until he does it in the game and everyone is like ohh, now I get it.”

I love that explanation because we all know what he’s talking about with Tyreek Hill. Even on a field with the best athletes in the world, Tyreek’s speed is on another level and catches your eye.

Mahomes had a few unreal throws in his lone start last season. I can’t wait to see what Kelce is talking about.

The numbers Jakeem Grant put up in 2015 with Mahomes should be pretty similar to what Tyreek can do with Mahomes. Very similar players from a speed perspective. Which we saw Grant have a career day vs KC this year.
