Go take a peek at Jalen Hurts contract. That's a team friendly deal if I've ever seen one.

It's why I'm probably overly critical of Pat's good but not elite play. There's just no way around this without getting that from him.

I think we will cause he always comes thru.

They are. I mean the QB that's paid a half billion didn't see him running wide open. But like O.City said, we're not allowed to talk about that

Yeah that was a bad play by Pat there. Are we going to pretend like that's Rice's normal usage? Like he isn't running a bunch of 10 yards or less routes and still playing less snaps than 5th round rookies?

Let's say Josh Allen, Burrow, or Hurts or any other top QB was on the Chiefs. Do you think they'd be doing better with this supporting cast than Pat currently is? If players are just running open downfield and the problem is that Pat isn't seeing them, then they would be able to get more out of these players right?

There's Pat missing a wide open Rice.

Yes there's a lot of miscommunication going on but there's been a LOT of Pat missing wide open dudes all season too.

We're going circular, but we just saw Pat play like he did last year with a comparable cast.

They had statistically a worst OL and Pat seemed to trust the one from last year more too.

He's paid a premium and part of that is elevating the guys around him. I would argue he needs to do better doing that and some of it is them letting him down.

I was told the opposite.

That we would be a SB favorite every year for the next 10 years.

My view is that there will be ups and downs but with the loaded roster we had coming into the year there was ZERO reason not to ensure the offense would work by adding 1 more vet WR that could catch the ball and take pressure off Kelce.

The Green Bay game showed what happens when Kelce was hurting.

When you bring back Chris Jones at the $$$ and you have Sneed still cheap no reason not to finish.

It's not comparable when you remove your #1 WR from the prior year.

I mean one QB has the best resume of a QB in his first 5 years and willed a team with average WR's to a SB after you traded a HOF WR while the other QB has....?

It's called leverage for a reason

Even without that, they're still in a spot to finish. Story ain't written yet.

But being the "favorite" and winning it are 2 different things, especially if the Qb isn't playing to the level he's paid.

They would be in this position regardless with Mahomes/Reid and this roster.

They were always going to make the playoffs barring catastrophic injuries.

Goal should be to win the Super Bowl.

It's always gonna be tough to go against teams with a good QB on rookie contract. Look at the 49ers. That team can use that money to pay for McCaffrey, Hargrave, etc. same with the Eagles.

When those teams have to finally pay their QB's real money like us it's over for them.

It also doesn't help when those teams are willing to go all in and your GM isn't ready to manipulate the cap to your advantage.
