Think Mahomes locked onto Kelce. That type of stuff hurts the offense

Rice should have stopped when he was open in the rear center of the end zone. His quarterback was scrambling. He ran himself out of the play. Lack of situational awareness on Rice’s part. He’s a rookie. He’ll get better. Mahomes was under pressure…. packers’ db (34) was camping in the front middle of end zone until Patrick scrambled. Seems he was mainly spying Kelce. Mahomes did have a nanosecond of a window to hit Rice. But he was also under duress. The coaches & players really need to tighten this shit up. Redzone was a problem.

Honestly he still could have thrown it to Kelce on the outside shoulder. Patrick is making this more of a issue than what it actually is. His noodle is scrambled and he's leaving plays on the field because he's pressing.

I don’t know about that. 7 was in Kelce’s hip pocket. Either way, that game is over. I’m just hoping that the coaches and players step up and get this passing game to a respectable level in the red zone. Bills defense has a lot of injured high profile players. Chiefs should feast. Fingers crossed.

IF my understanding is correct, that Andy calls the plays and Nagy the personnel, then I'm putting a big chunk of the dysfunction at Nagy's feet.

I'm not usually a 'FIRE THE COACH!' guy, I'm really not.

But the complete regression of the offense with mostly the same guys in what should be a much more comfortable second season in the offense is just unacceptable.

What's different? The OC and the WR coach.

For the most part, Mahomes has time, so other than the penalties on the OT's, I'm not seeing protection as the problem. (The penalties ARE a problem of course, but I'm setting that aside for the moment.)

If it were me (and of course it's not, I freely admit I am not qualified) I would be in 12 personnel as my base, better for Pacheco, and my WR rotation is Rice, Toney, and Watson. MVS and Moore only see snaps to give a guy a breather. Ritchie in on 3rd downs maybe.

If they leave their big personnel in to cover the two TE's, Kelce and Gray will eat. if they go nickel, Pacheco will eat.

Use play-action to get the easy reads. Quit out-smarting yourself.

Agreed. I don’t get why we used Noah gray sparingly vs Green Bay. Did you see the Jacksonville game? Feel like that’s the kind of offense you’re speaking to. It’s a little more downfield than we’re capable of with our WRs. But it shows a lot of the creativity in scheming open some reads. Something to aspire to for next year

This is the only winning formula I see too. Kelce in tight. Gray either in slot or also in tight. Rice and Watson outside for at least 80% snaps a game. Roll with that.

Toney and MVS can rotate in if someone is hurt or needs a breather. Moore can rotate in if someone dies.
