How Excited or Not ..Are You??

The guys at work are kind of meh about the upcoming playoff game. They say if we play Pitt we will lose. Out of 3 people I talk to about our chances 2 out of 3 say we won't win at home!
I think more excitement will build when we know who we play. Personally I'm very excited and don't care who we play.. more worried about stopping the run and if Houstons knee is healthy enough for him to be a factor.

It's still a long shot at this point with so many games to play, but it would be cool to face off against the Giants in the SB. With their defense peaking, they are a tough out in the NFC playoffs and are the prime candidates to pick off Dak and Rodgers. But they are what the Chiefs are built for. As much as the offense can bog against 'lesser' opponents, they rarely shrink [relatively] against powerhouse Ds. Just a more desperate and harried version of their plodding, but not the back-breaking mistakes and failed gambles that other teams endure.
Yep, we have always played well against the Packers recently. We beat the Falcons already. Kind of worried about the Giants-but Manning makes a ton of mistakes.

You want a reason to feel really good about our chances in two weeks?

Clay isn't giving us any chance at all against Pittsburgh, which is never a bad sign.

Funny thing about this forum, everyone here knows what this team and Alex Smith are and what they aren't. But that won't affect or reduce the resulting CP implosion after the beatdown by either the Steelers or Pats.

Steelers average 21 points a game on the road...28 at home. KC gives up 15 points a game at home.

If you throw out week one against SD (27)...the most points scored at Arrowhead is 21 by the Saints

Pittsburgh's highest road score is 28 coming against an awful Indy defense....unless you count week one's 38 at Washington.

KC averages 24 points a game at home...25 on the road.

Steelers were beaten 34-3 by the Eagles and 30-15 by Miami. KC was beaten 43-14 by the Steelers. The other two losses for KC were 2, 2 and 7 points.

Both teams were finding their footing early...so I dont value the Eagles whipping the Steelers...or the Steelers whipping KC too much.
